    Participants must be current, qualified Train Drivers and Guards and/or TrainControl personnel, experienced in train testing on Millennium (MILL), Oscar(OSCAR) or Hunter Rail Car (HRC) as examples, and nominated by RailCorp.All Participants must complete a Site Induction for the relevant site where thetraining is to be conducted.

    Delivery and Assessment Strategy

    The course will be delivered and assessed using the test train whilst in the EDI Downermaintenance facility and on the first day of on track operations (day 2 of the course). Trainingwill be undertaken using two facilitators (EDI and RailCorp).

    The crew will be trained together. The training can be delivered either on a train or in a classroom. The priority will be to train on a train and if not available then in a classroom.

    Day 1 training will cover the technical information related to the operation of the train, workingwith the Train Captain and PPTV TWPs.

    Day 2 is conducted on the train on the test track and will cover familiarisation to the cab, ,traction and stop. Also covered is an introduction to PPTV preparation.

    Assessments occur on both days to close off each module of training

    Reasonable Adjustment:

    Participants are experienced in train testing and adaption to new trains. The delivery sessions allow for abroad range of experience in terms of Diesel or electric as long as Drivers have single control andeTIS/TOS experience. Likewise for Guards who have had eTIS/TOS experience and similar dooroperational equipment.

    Crews will be tested in accordance to their role.

    Allowances will be made for the capability of the Test Train as the level of functionality is unknown andmay change during training and assessment

    Recognition:

    The course is designed for personnel who have no previous experience with the Waratah (A Set) train andspecifically designed for the test crew to the PPTV ONLY. As such there is no recognition available.

    Record of Curriculum Materials:

    Curriculum materials are located on the RCT G: server under __________ (insert pathway) according to the

    Curriculum Development Procedure (QTMS-PR-39).
