So, you have the car your dreams!What happens next?There is nothing quite like slipping behind the wheel of your new car for the very first time.There is a lot that needs to happen from signing a contract until your new car arrives.We’ve put together this short guide to help you understand what will happen once you purchase a car from Motorama.

FINANCEWaiting for confirmation of finance approvalTo reduce delays, we ask you to provide our Business Managers or Sales Person with any required information prior to delivery, like registration papers, payslips, rates notices or alike.Once finance is approved and all conditions are met, we will proceed to get your car prepared or ordered.

1. YOU’VE GOT THE CAR!Deposit/Signed-upWhen you purchase a vehicle from Motorama, we enter into a contractual agreement to supply you with the vehicle of your choice.We will supply all fitted accessories listed and fulfil all promises included on the contract.Your contract will include all the details of the accessories you ordered and any special condition.

3. PREPARING THE CARSourcing: Model, ColourIf your chosen vehicle is not currently in our display stock we will need to source the vehicle. You can generally expect to have an estimated delivery time provided to you within 48 hours once a vehicle has been located.So you remain in the loop, your sales consultant will ask you how often you would like to be kept informed of your vehicle’s progress. If the car is in stock, keep it mind it will still take 4-5 days to get processed and ready for you to drive away.

4. DETAILINGCar Wash, Detailing, Fitting AccessoriesOnce your vehicle arrives, we will contact you and confirm a delivery time.Our pre-delivery department will inspect your car, complete a road test, fuel and fit any accessories before its final detail and clean.This is part of our quality control to ensure your car is in the best condition possible.

5. LOCK IN DELIVERY DAYArrange hand over dateThis is normally the second biggest purchase that you will make in your lifetime – we want things to go well for you.We pride ourselves on a professional handover of your new car so you can drive away happy. Please allow at least one hour to complete the delivery and handover of your new car.

6. THE BIG DAYDelivery day is here!The big day has arrived! There will be other deliveries happening on the day, so in order to ensure you are looked after, delivery is by appointment. If you cannot make your delivery time, please let your consultant know so they can reschedule for you.We look forward to handing over the keys of your new car and introducing you to our award winning service team.

Payment – Personal and company cheques are NOT accepted at delivery. Bank cheques only. Clear funds must be confirmed in our account before release. Please refer to your salesperson / business manager for further details.Remittance – If you are arranging your own finance, please supply a remittance notice from your financier/bank to show payment has been made. Please make sure any funds transfer/direct debit/third party payment is made at least 2 business days prior to delivery to ensure funds are clear. We are unable to release your car without clear funds in our bank account.Delivery Date – Please ensure a delivery date and time has been booked with you and your Sales Person / Guest Care Manager. Please note that if your transaction is subject to finance, work on your vehicle will not commence until finance is approved.

If you are arranging your own final payment –

Confirmation of income i.e. 2 most recent payslips.Copy of your current drivers license and 2 other forms of ID such as Credit Cards, Medicare or Passport.Bank account details for direct debit (for repayments) – Branch, BSB and Account Numbers.Rates notices (land or water) if a home owner or copies of rent receipts if renting a property.If boarding, we will need 2 recent accounts or bills addressed to your at your current address.Copy of permanent residency visa (if applicable).Group certificate (current).

If we are arranging your finance –

Registration papers of the vehicle to be traded are required a maximum of 1 day of your trade in to confirm the name it is registered in. This must be supplied prior to your final delivery dateAt the time of delivery, please make sure that the vehicle you are trading in is free of personal belongings including toll tags, CD’s etc.Please supply all relevant documents such as log books and service history. Ensure all accessories such as spare keys, tow bar tongue, head rests or any other accessories fitted to the car when vehicle was valued are supplied.If the vehicle is registered in a business claiming the GST, please supply a tax invoice for the trade in amount of the vehicle.Authorisation Letter if the vehicle is not registered in your name, the sales person can assist you with this form.

If you are trading in a car –

Registration – If you would like your vehicle registered in a company name or trust, please provide the Customer Reference Number (CRN) enrolled with Queensland Transport, if you currently do not have one please provide full documentation of the trust or business at least 2 days prior to the delivery date. (Business – ABN and ABR Print out / Trust – Trust Deed)Personalised Plates – If you have Personalised Plates in mind, please apply online and go to http://www.ppq.com.au to make your application. We can do this for you however, you still need to apply with ppq.com.au and all we need is your Customer Reference Number (CRN).
