Wakefield Hospice Spring FairThe Wrenthorpe St Johns Fund Raising Group are holding their annual Spring Fair at Wrenthorpe Village Hall on Saturday 12th March 10am to

1pm. There will be stalls selling quality craft goods, cakes, books, jigsaws, bric-a-brac, a tombola and a raffle. Refreshments, including

bacon butties, will be on sale. Admission FREE, donations appreciated.

Wrenthorpe Gardening Club Spring ShowWrenthorpe Gardening Club will hold its annual Spring Show on

Sunday, 3rd April 2016 in Wrenthorpe Village Hall. There will be classes for daffodils, tulips, miscellaneous spring bulbs, plants and flowers for club members, non members, experts and novices. There will also be

classes for flower arrangements, special classes for children, and home produce including bread, savoury flan, fruit pie, chocolate cake, scones, jam, marmalade, lemon curd and wine. Show Schedules will be available soon. Gardening Club members will all receive a copy and there will be plenty at the village hall and Valley Crescent Centre. On the day there

will be a raffle and refreshments available. If you do not feel like entering something, please come along to admire the blooms. The Show will be

open to the public from 2.45pm onwards.
