Executive Summary

D7.1 Webpage describes in detail the ID4EV Website.

A description of the website can also be found inside D7.2 “Dissemination plan”, since it is one of the main

tools to spread ID4EV ‘s identity and to create awareness on the project and its results.

After an Introduction giving a general description of the tool and its main functions, Chapter 1 (Project

Webpage) provides a short description of the webpage published at M2.

Chapter 2 Website provides a description of the sections of the final website delivered at M4, including

purposes and contents.

Introduction

D 7.1 Webpage is conceived as an accompanying document to the Website delivery.

It describes in detail the ID4EV Website.

The ID4EV website has been created and given high priority since the beginning of the project, serving as

the front face to ID4EV’s audience. A first version of the webpage was in fact available at M2, meeting the

Milestone number 02. The final website has been made available from M4.

The website is uploaded to the URL www.id4ev.eu. The specific address name was selected with the aim to

emphasize its connection with the European Union.

The layout is branded with the project logo and with its acronym (Intelligent Dynamics for Fully Electric

Vehicles).

The European Commission and FP7 logos are positioned in the banner at the top of the page. They are also

shown in the banner at the bottom page, were information on the related Directorate General (DG) and

project Grant Agreement are provided.

Visitors will be able to find relevant information on ID4EV, such as project structure, news, progresses,

activities, links to similar projects, etc.

Project website is periodically updated, according to the project evolution.

1 Project webpage (Task 7.2)

Task 7.2 contains the setup and maintenance of a website that describes the project content in general and

keeps the public informed about the progresses as far as they are public.

As planned in the DoW, the project webpage was created and delivered at M2, meeting the Milestone

number 02.

It was branded with the project logo (see Annex I) with its acronym (Intelligent Dynamics for Fully Electric

Vehicles) and showed the core information on ID4EV, such as:

Abstract of the project

Information on the project Consortium

Coordinator’s addresses

The webpage was uploaded to the URL: www.id4ev.eu. The specific address name was selected with the

aim to emphasize its connection with the European Union.

Figure 1 shows how the webpage used to appear.

2 Project Website

The final version of the website has been designed, developed and uploaded at M4 on the URL

www.id4ev.eu.

The layout is branded with the project logo (see Annex I) and with its acronym (Intelligent Dynamics for

Fully Electric Vehicles).

The European Commission and FP7 logos are positioned in the banner at the top of the page. They are also

shown in the banner at the bottom page, were information on the related Directorate General (DG) and

project Grant Agreement are provided.

On the Homepage all the core information on the project are available. From this page it is possible to

access all the Sections of the website. All the Subsections are visible via a double box, which protrudes from

the related Section box (e.g. Newsletter and Archive).

The navigation sidebar and the News and Events boxes are available in all the pages.

Breadcrumbs appear horizontally across the top of the web pages, below the banner at the top of the page.

They provide links back to each previous page the user navigated through to get to the current page.

Breadcrumbs provide a trail for the user to follow back to the starting or entry point.

A glyph (such as ») serves as hierarchy. The breadcrumbs look like this:

Home page >> Section page >> Subsection page

A screenshot of how the homepage appears is shown in Figure 2 - ID4EV homepage. For details on the

structure see Figure 3 - Website structure.

Conclusions

The project official website is considered as one of the main Dissemination tools for ID4EV, since it serves

as the front face to ID4EV’s audience and as a relevant tool to support the project in raising awareness of

its goals, achievements and results to the widest audience as possible.

The project website is periodically updated, according to the project evolution.

New information about findings and results of the project will be added.

A special attention will be paid to keep the News and Events sections continuously updated.

Annex I - Project logo (T7.1)

A project logo has been designed at the very beginning of the project (M2). It will be used to brand all the

project material (e.g. documents, dissemination material).

The logo is composed by a pictogram and the acronym ID4EV. When it is possible, it is coupled with its pay-

off (i.e. the extended name of the project, Intelligent Dynamics for Fully Electric Vehicles).

Figure 4 - ID4EV final logo

The pictogram refers to the thematic of the ID4EV project. It represents a Fully Electric Vehicle (FEV)

branded with the project acronym. The fully electric power is represented by a plug running from the rear

to the front wheels: the aim was to express the concept of movement (narrows) generated by electric

power (plug).

The green color refers to the efficiency and eco-friendliness of the FEV.

The project coordinator and partners have been involved in the process of choice since the very beginning.

Different logo concepts have been shared with them and their comments have been taken into account.

The final version of the logo was agreed upon by partners, who have been involved in the process via an

online poll.
