Swachchta Shapath Day - 01. 09.17 (Friday)
Swachchta Shapath was taken on the school Public Address System wherein all students, teachers and other staff members pledged to keep their surroundings clean.
Class Assembly
The students of class 9-E presented a Class Assembly on 1 September 2017.
The theme of the assembly was 'Sanitation and Cleanliness'. The students displayed placards related to the theme. It started with the quote by Alina Shanker and Saishaa Sood. The class choir sang the morning prayer. The news was presented by Pratham Bhatia and Aakarsh Garg. This was followed by a speech on environment by Khushboo and Ayushi of Environmen Council followed by thoughts on cleanliness presented by Tanishq. Ribhav Ojha presented a short speech on 'Importance of Sanitation and Cleanliness'. This was followed by recitation by Kabir Ahuja. The poem was titled 'Cleanliness'. The assembly ended with the National Anthem.

Cleanliness Maintenance and Planning Day - 04.09.17 (Monday)
Teachers and Incharges inspected sanitary facilities – girls and boys toilets, balconies and every corner of the school premises to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
Class Assembly
The theme of the assembly by 10-E was 'Cleanliness'. It commenced with the morning prayer by the Vice - Principal, Mrs Rachna Gupta. It was followed by the Thought for the Day after which the school doctor, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, spoke to the children about personal hygiene for good healthy life. Mrs Shalini Prasad, the school counselor also spoke to the children about the same. Anushka Goel presented the student's point of view regarding maintaining cleanliness at home and in school. The assembly ended with the National Anthem.

Green School Drive Day - 05.09.17 (Tuesday)
Tree Plantation Ceremony
Tree plantation drive was organized in the school for classes Nur. to 10. They were taken to the designated area in the Big Field under the supervision of their teachers and the students planted saplings enthusiastically. They took a pledge to look after these plants on a regular basis.

Swachchta Participation Day - 06.09.17 (Wednesday)
Competitions
The school organized Creative Writing Competitions and Painting Competition on the topics ‘What makes our classroom dirty?’ , ‘Clean India of my dream’ and 'Cleanliness and Hygiene Practices in School’. The children wrote interesting paragraphs and essays and painted beautiful drawings on the given topics highlighting the importance of cleanliness and benefits of keeping the classroom neat and tidy.

Personal Hygiene and Toilet Awareness Day - 07.09.17 (Thursday)
The school doctor addressed the school assembly regarding maintaining of personal hygiene as the first step to develop ones personality and live a healthy life. Children were taught the correct method of washing hands, brushing their teeth and keeping their body clean.
Role Play
The students of class 6 presented a skit. A home scene was created to motivate the students to maintain cleanliness in school and at home. They were told the importance of wearing neat uniform to school and cutting nails regularly and also its impact on one's health.

Day 8
Swachch Water Day and Hand Wash Day – 08.09.17 (Friday)
The house warden gave a talk in the house meetings about the
proper method of hand washing before eating and made the
children aware of the various water borne diseases. They also
emphasized the importance of safe drinking water.
The school doctor, Dr Manpreet Kaur, addressed the students of
Classes VI to X and emphasized on the importance of washing
hands before and after eating all the meals for a healthy life. She
also spoke about safe drinking water and simple ways in which
this can be achieved.
The students were made to take a pledge that they would not only
follow the tips themselves but also make people in their families
and neighbourhood follow them as a habit.
The Interact Club of DPS Vasant Kunj (Senior School students)
conducted an interactive session for students of classes Nursery to
I on ‘Cleanliness and Personal Hygiene’.

Swachchta School Exhibition Day - 11.09.17 (Monday)
A PTA member Ms. Anupama Singh was invited to the school to share her views about Swachchta and she motivated the students to maintain cleanliness. She emphasized the importance of health and hygiene for the students. On this day the essays written by the students and posters made by them were also displayed on the various notice boards.
