Meet the New Leadership TeamPresident: Nate Phillips
Vice President: Casey Engelken
“Delta Epsilon Iota has fostered my growth in many areas of my undergraduate career especially in the areas of real career development and leadership capacity. ”
"DEI is full of many great opportunities, one of which is networking and meeting with employers. With this opportunity I have been able to build relationships with these professionals which has been a great and beneficial experience. Although it has been up to me to keep in contact with these professionals, without DEI I may not have had the opportunity to build these relationships. Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises."
Treasurer: Megan Hicks
"DEI has given me the exposure and proper resources to help better prepare myself for the future, it's also given me the opportunity to be a leader and make a difference in this large KU community"
Secretary: Anna Tung
"DEI has enriched my KU experience by providing programming that has better prepared me for the job market and life after college, as well as by offering opportunities to network and have fun with other members at our meetings. In addition, DEI has also supported my education financially by awarding me a scholarship for the upcoming year. It's important for members to get involved in the organization in order to take full advantage and benefit from everything that DEI has to offer."
Communications Manager: Jessica Neuhedel
Philanthropist: Jon Sabillon
Before DEI, I had not been exposed to as much leadership opportunities as I now have been. I have been able to be a part of planning service projects and other career-related events. I have also been presented with opportunities to meet employers and get their feedback on how to make myself a better candidate for when I start applying for jobs now and after graduation. If I had not become a member of DEI, I would feel a lot less prepared for my future career life.
Leadership member: Erin Brown
Leadership member: Andrea Carroll
"My involvement in DEI has helped prepare me to enter the professional world. Through my experience in DEI I learned of important career center services that helped me land an internship this summer. Also, through DEI I received a $500 scholarship that will greatly help with academic expenses. Furthermore, I have participated in more volunteer activities and gained a broader appreciation and understanding of the importance of community involvement."
“Being a member of DEI has provided me with a lot of opportunities to work on my networking and interviewing skills. The question-and-answer sessions with employers definitely help me feel better prepared for ‘the real world’ after college. And, of course, we have free food. Often.”
