EXT. CANARY WHARF. DAY

Midday in the concrete jungle where the buildings seem to goupwards for eternity and the suits go buzz around like goodlike worker bees. Amid the hustle and bustle we see theprotagonist of our tale, Detective Inspector JACK ROPER.

JACK is an detective who has served for many many years. Hehas seen a lot in his lifetime, and now it seems to betaking its toll on him. He is old but his face seems to havebeen worn even more by the horrific incidents he haswitnessed. He is taking a break from his busy schedule tograb himself some well earned lunch, or should I say somefast food. The type that his doctor has warned him about.

It seems like your pretty average day, that is until therelative calmness that is found in the hustle and bustle isdisturbed by a loud bang.

JACK hears this noise and knows, as a policeman, he must go

check it out. He is not happy about it though as he staresin to his food, knowing he must give it up.

JACK(Begrudgingly)

Just my luck!

JACK bundles up the fast food and places it in a near byrubbish bin, before heading over to the source of thecommotion.

On the floor lays a broken Polaroid camera.

JACK(Confused)

What the?...

It seems to have fallen from quite a height. Possibly it wasthrown from the top of one of the buildings or maybe out ofone of the windows. Jack takes out some white rubber glovesfrom his pocket and carefully picks up the camera. As hedoes so he notices that a is picture still inside. JACKtakes out the picture, it is one of the St Pauls/MillenniumBridge area.

Although JACK is sure this isnt a crime, his detectiveinstincts wont let go of the feeling that something is amiss with this incident. He put the camera and picture inhis pocket and heads towards the nearest tube stop.

JACK though isnt the only person to have taken an interestin this falling camera. KYLE WILLIS, a young man of youtubefame for his hilarious videos of cats doing ridiculous buthilarious things and the unusual paintings he creates, saw

the fall and then noticed JACK with his rubber gloves.Instantly he took out his mobile phone and tweeted what hewas witnessing. His first tweet read:

"Crzy scenes @ the wharf. Object fallen from the sky.Detective on the case. More 2 follow! #wharf #ufo? #crime?#nice"

All KYLE can think about is how many hits he will get forthis and when he sees JACK leaving he follows, recording ashe goes and updating on the incident through twitter.

EXT. ST PAULS AREA. DAY

JACK arrives, unsure what he will find and almost lookssuprised at himself for following this lead. He looks aroundfor a little while but nothing seems unusual to him. Hedecided that it really was nothing at all.

JACK(Angry at himself)

God dammit!

He heads towards a bin, angry that he has wasted his owntime and also worries that the job is getting the best ofhime. Popping some headache pills as he goes.

KYLE is recording as he does this and sends another tweet.

"Hard boiled cop, angry and popping pills. How cliche! More2 follow #diehardguy #cliche"

JACK reaches the bin, camera in hand, about to throw it awayand forget about it. His face turns from anger to sheershock. Inside the bin is another broken camera with anotherpicture still inside. This time its a picture of theGreenwich Naval college. JACK knows now that something is amiss and almost looks pleased that his instincts wherecorrect. JACK takes the photo out of the bin and places itcarefully in his pocket with the other one.

JACK(Pleased with himself)

Finally some clues.

Just then, the flash of a polariod camera can be heard. JACKlooks up to see a man in the distance taking a picture ofJACK using a polariod. JACK approaches the man, firstlyslowly and then begins to run, but as JACK gets near the mandisappears in to the crowd almsot without a trace. On theground lays a ticket to greenwich station. Again KYLE isrecording this with his camera phone and follows along at adistance before sending another tweet.

"Just been involved in my first high speed chase LOL more 2follow #outofbreathe"

JACK takes another look at the photo and decides to continuehis search at the naval college.

EXT. NAVAL COLLEGE. DAY

We see JACK looking around once again, firstly he is lookingfor another man with a polariod camera but none can be seen.He then begins to think about the clues from earlier. Heknows he is looking for a medium sized man, who is missinghis jacket. The man may be using a modern day camera too.Nothing catches his eye so he decided to check the bin.Rushing over to it in hope that there will be another clueinside. He is becoming more and more involved in this and hedoesnt really know why. He appearance is beginning to mirrorhis frantic mind.

JACK searches through the bin but this time no clue ishidden inside. KYLE catches all of this on camera, this timethough he doesnt tweet as he is very confused and now seemsmore sure than ever that the video will get him 1000s ofhits.

JACK seems even angrier at himself now and takes out thepills from his jacket again. To his dismay, none are left.He throws the empty bottle in to the bin and decides to headin to the Naval College.

INT. NAVAL COLLEGE. DAY

Nnowing that the man he is looking for is a keenphotographer due to the quality of the images and the use ofan old camera, JACK decided to check around the Navalcollege as it is a tourist hot spot. He checks around theexhibit looking for anybody with a camera who fits thedescription but to no avail. JACK then decides takes a seatto try gather his thoughts and reasses the clues that he hasso far. He notices that somebody has left a coat on one ofthe seats, immediatly JACK decides to search through thecoat in hope of finding something, anything. Inside one ofthe pockets is a lens cap to a camera. In the other we findpress passes to different events all around the greenwicharea along with some polariod photos. JACK quickly scans thephotos, staring intently at each one, finding nothing, untilon the last pictures his eyes widden. It is the photo of aman standing in front of big ben in the usual touristy way.The man in the photo is wearing the same jacket that JACK iscurrently searching through.

JACKGotcha!

Thinking that he can use some of the photos to try and trackdown the man JACK heads out of the naval college. JACK hasnoticed that all of the photos the mysterious man had been

taking have been of the generic tourist kind. Based on thishe decides to head to the next big tourist hot spot in thelocal area. He realises that the man will not be too farbecause he would have came to collect his jacket.

EXT. CUTTY SARK. DAY

JACK approaches the cutty sark and quickly scans the area,holding up the picture to try find the man. He knows that hewill be here, he is sure of it.

JACK

Bingo!

JACK spots the man and begins to run as fast as he cantowards him. The man sees him and again begins to run. Thistime JACK is determined not to lose him.

The mysterious man heads down through the thames tunnel withJack following not too far behind him. A little while behindthe both of them is KYLE. Panting and wheezing as he goes,but all the while recording.

KYLE(Panting)

Think of the hits, think of thehits.

JACK and the mysterious man are in a full chase now. The manis shouting something but JACK cant quite make it out. Atthis point though he doesnt care. He just wants to catchthe guy and find out what he is doing. The chase continuesfrantically all the way through the tunnel, bringing themout again at Canary Wharf. The mysterious man makes good hisescape through the endless crowds of suits, whilst JACK getsstuck behind them all. Fortunatly enough for JACK though thestranger had dropped something in his haste, unfortuntlyJACK was in too much a hurry to spot it. Thankfully thoughit was picked up, by KYLE who himself is now very investedin whats going on, if only for the youtube fame of it.

KYLE catches up to JACK who has stopped running, and handshim the object that the stranger had dropped.

KYLE(still panting)

He dropped this.

JACK(confused)

Thanks Kid.

After KYLE hands JACK the leaflet he slowly raises hiscamera again to record JACK. JACK at this point is veryconfused, but he has other things on his plate to worryabout. Like what is the mysterious guy up to.

JACK takes a look at the leaflet, it is one for RavensbourneDegree show.

KYLE(Lowering his phone andpointing)

Its a university, just over there.

JACK stares at KYLE now as if to say okay kid youroverstepping your mark now. KYLE then slowly raises hiscamera again and steps back.

KYLE sends another tweet.

Helped out the crazy detective just call me #officerkyle

EXT. RAVENSBOURNE ROOF. DAY

JACK bursts on to the roof to see the mysterious man about

to smash another camera, but stops as soon a she sees JACK.

JACK(slowly stepping closer to themysterious man)

STOP! Just stop! What are youdoing?!

MYSTERIOUS MAN(with his arm still pulledback, camera in hand about tothrow it)

What am I doing? What are youdoing?! Why are you follwing me?!Im not commiting any crimes! Ivedone nothing wrong.

JACKYouve been leaving me clues,leading me here!

MYSTERIOUS MAN(lowering his arm)

What?! I think youve lost it mate.Ive just been making the most ofthese cameras before getting rid ofthem for good.(looking at thecamera) They are obsolete now, the

old ways are dying out, beingreplaced. Thats what happens, youget all used up and when you havenothing left, you get thrown away.

JACK(almost talking about himself)

Yes the old ways may be dying outbut there is always a place forthem. The only reason the new waysexist is because we perfected theold.

MYSTERIOUS MANI suppose your right. But still(raising his arm again) sooner orlater they will be gone forever.

JACKIs it really such a bad thing thateverybody will be able to sharetheir experiences with the world?Just because the new ways are moreexcessable, it doesnt mean thateverybody will be pefect at it.Embrace the new ways withoutforgetting the old. Once upon atime those cameras you call oldwhere brand new and many peoplewould have been frightened by them,but through people giving them atry they became common place.

JACK slowly walks towards the mysterious man with his handout stretched almost beckoning him to give the camera.

JACKDont destroy history, use it to

make the future brighter.

Jack takes the camera from the mysterious man. The pairstand side by side. JACK reaches his arm out with the camerain it and the pair take a selfie. Mixing the old with thenew.

KYLE has got himself up on to the roof too and records thepair before sending his last tweet.
