Lille is located in the North of France within a distance of 300 kilometers from five European countries, in the triangle between London, Paris and Brussels and it offers a truly European experience to all students.

The University of Lille, Science and Technology is ideally located on a large and green campus with all the facilities close at hand: metro and bus connections to Lille city centre, railway stations and surrounding cities, sport equipments, student cafeterias, halls of residence, cultural centre ... modern Languages DepartmentThe modern Languages Department enables you to study French, english, german or Spanish. Languages are taught in two specific buildings: B5 and SUp/SUAIo.Two self-service language resource centres are available to students who want to improve their language skills.

Career ServiceIn the SUp/SUAIo building, you can also find “pass’pro”, a special office dedicated to professional orientation and finding jobs/internships. Seminars are organised throughout the year to help students with CV and application letters.You can also find a large area reserved for documentation, information on careers, jobs and an area dedicated to the modelling of entrepreneurial culture and kick-off starting young businesses called the “Hubhouse”.

Disabled ServiceIf you are disabled or have a serious illness, the student’s life office can help you in many ways (help with administrative procedures, with the organisation of courses, of exams, etc). Don’t hesitate to contact this office before your arrival.

Societies and ClubsThere are over 60 clubs and societies on the university campus. Thanks to these associations, you can meet other French students. Ask for the directory of clubs and societies (“ Annuaires des associations ”) when you arrive at the University of Lille, Science and Technology.

Summer Schoolseach summer, international students can take part in summer schools on the campus. The aim of these intensive programmes is to learn or improve French language knowledge and learn more about French culture. Visits in the region are organised. These courses are open to every international student. That’s a good way to get prepared for studies in Lille!

objectivesThis programme with selective admissions criteria is made for students with a good level of english and who would like to open their mind to the european and international dimensions of the economy in the spirit of the european high schools. objectivesThe european master in Translational Neuroscience consists of a two-year curriculum (120 european credits, eCTS) of ten consecutive modules, four methodological courses, a short (6 weeks) and a long (36 weeks) research internship and is designed as a multi-disciplinary and international program with a focus on translational research. While the modules are taught at Maastricht University, students spend their six weeks research elective and the master thesis at laboratories of the different partner universities (University of Lille, Science & Technology included).This european master is planned as an international research training program in cellular, molecular and systemic neuroscience with the major focus on the translation of basic research to clinical applications. The curriculum prepares students for academic and industry related careers in biomedical research of the nervous system.

Admission requirementsIt depends on the level of admission. Admission in m1 (first year): students holding 180 eCTS credits in university programmes (economics and/or in management or political Sciences), students who hold a scientificor juridical diploma obtained after 4 years of higher education and whohave a basic knowledge in economics and management, students withina lifelong education process, who hold a Bachelor Degree (minimum) andwho can demonstrate a minimum of 5 year work experience.For direct admission in m2 (2nd year): students have to hold 240 eCTS credits in a university programme in economics and/or in management.

objectivesour objective is to educate tomorrow’s high-level experts and/ or managers able to respond to the highest requirements of companies, institutions or other authorities concerned by all areas influenced by european decision-making processes. The master euA is intended either for French students aiming at an international career or non-French students who wish to acquire knowledge and skills in regional integration processes, of which the european is the best existing example so far. The programme aims also at educating students, who will choose an academic career through a research path.To reach these objectives, the master in european Affairs gives to students a robust, multidisciplinary training in law, economics, management, finance. Students can also deepen their knowledge and understanding of a particular topic or job they’re interested in pursuing in the future, through a two-month internship (m1), a six-month internship (m2) in a Company or a european Institution and through the two day seminar programme in the main european institutions in Brussels. The option of a dissertation is offered in case they would like to pursue an academic career.
