In a guided medita-tion, the teacher will lead you through the five layers of self, leaving you calm and peaceful and with a sense of profound wholeness. YARD WASTE SITE LOCATION: 610 N STEVENSON STWhen traveling on North Stevenson Street, turn west onto the gravel roadway immediately north of the railroad tracks to enter the yard waste area.
ITEMS ACCEPTED FROM VILLAGE RESIDENTS DURING OPERATING HOURS:Brush, branches, sticks and twigs. Grass clippings, sod, dirt, leaves, garden waste (corn stalks, pumpkins, etc.), flowers, pine cones and pine needles. Separate grass clippings and leaves from brush as the items are required to be placed into separate cement bin pads at the yard waste site.Empty any bags or containers and dispose of them properly at your home.
Note - Yard Waste materials need to be disposed of at the Yard Waste Site, NOT in your automated recycling cart.No Garbage / Trash is allowed at the compost site.
ITEMS VILLAGE RESIDENTS CAN OBTAIN AT THE DEFOREST YARD WASTE SITE DURING OPERATING HOURS:Wood chips from our curb side brush collection operation will be available free of charge at the yard waste facility during site hours with self-loading. Residents can load wood chips available at the site into their own small con-tainers during normal site hours as available.Firewood available by permit with a fee, call Village Hall for details at 846-6751 .
DANE COUNTY COMPOST SITE:The Rodefeld Yard Waste Site is available to all Dane County residents and is located at 7102 Hwy 12 & 18 one-half mile east of I-90. Bring your grass and leaves to be composted. NO brush, sticks, twigs or garbage are allowed at the Dane County compost site.
BE SALT WISEWe rely on salt to keep our roads safe in the winter but using more salt than is needed comes with a heavy price. In Wisconsin and much of the United states, chloride from salt is infiltrating into our lakes, streams and groundwater. You can keep sidewalks and driveways safe this winter while protecting our waters by following these simple steps: Clear walkways and other areas before the snow turns to ice. The more snow you remove manually, the less salt you will have to use and the more effective it will be. If you use salt, scat-ter it so that there is space between the grains. Believe it or not, a coffee mug of salt is enough to treat an entire 20-foot driveway or 10 sidewalk squares.
