Welcome to Grapevine, Texas,

the city named af-ter the wild mustang grapes that grew on the Grape Vine Prai-rie and the place TASN will call home during Conference 2015. Situated in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Grape-vine has it all. From old time venues such as Nash Farm, where you can experience firsthand farming and old fashioned train rides on the Grapevine Vin-tage Railroad, to modern trends of “Power Shopping” at Grapevine Mills and Historic Main Street, or the Texas Wine Experience at the many tasting rooms throughout the city. To top it all, we will be at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Conference Center: a self-contained facility overlooking Lake Grape-vine that includes fabulous accommodations, dining, shopping, entertainment, and good ole Texas hospitality.

This year’s theme is “School Nutrition Stars: Deep in the Heart of Texas.” Our association is full of stars who shine bright every day in the work place. Come conference time, we will be celebrating our successes and hopefully inspiring future ones as well! The Conference Planning Committee is designing education opportunities that will benefit our members and be of value to our school districts, while the Industry Committee is busy ensuring that facilities are ready for exhibits and making plans for a fabulous Industry Party.

Looking forward to seeing y’all in Grapevine. Until then, Shine Bright!

The Play Maker MentalityWith his quick wit and master story telling ability, Dave Davlin captures an audience like no one else. Quickly building rapport, he is able to touch not only the intellect of the audience, but their hearts and souls, as well. He shares principles concerning true success in life and business and challenges the audience to reach high and dig deep to discover their own form of greatness. Dave’s message has made a difference in the lives of thousands, and his impact continues to grow each year as he shares his philosophy and wisdom through speaking and writing.

In our ever-changing world, the need to adapt to new situations (and thrive within them) is at an all-time high. What worked yesterday may not work today. Therefore, survival depends on our ability to continually manufacture creative and innovative solutions in almost every industry. But what are the elements involved in unleashing and maximizing our creative juices? What skills must we develop (and what mentality do we need to embrace) in order to effectively overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow? In this fascinating presentation, Dave shares five essentials for effectively creating solutions that can guarantee success.

woman show that delivers the message of finding humor in a difficult situation is key to surviving it with sanity intact. Throughout the program, Sally illustrates her point by relating some of her most challenging personal experiences with skits and props.
