how to beginDecluttering is hard. It has taken you years to accumulate all of the treasures in your home, and each has its own memory or story attached. Here are some tips for letting go and living clutter free. .Pick a time to begin, stay focused, and remember that decluttering doesn’t happen overnight. .Separate memories from objects. Memories live in our minds – not in every souvenir or memento from past experiences. .Choose what to keep rather than what to give away. Remind yourself that if everything is important, nothing is. Keep the items that truly bring you happiness. .Ask yourself how your life has changed since acquiring all of your things. Are you still using them, or could someone else be getting more enjoyment from them?
Your decluttering journey does not have to be painful; start small and use this guide to help you get rid of your items. By donating and recycling, you can feel better knowing that your items will continue to serve a purpose beyond your home.
