COVID CRAZY The COVID situation does not appear to be moving in the direction that we had all hoped that it would by now. With that said, as you know, we have maneuvered through this ever changing event by ro- tating from remote to in-person, to quar- antine, to altering lunch schedules and dismissal procedures. We now must look at altering normal and traditional Christ- mas programs and possibly adjusting the VIP day as well in February. Thank you for understanding the preparation, pivot- ing, flexibility that takes place nearly everyday. We are remind- ed in difficult times that our strength is stronger than we think and prayer allows us to keep our focus despite challeng- es and obstacles. When we return to normalcy we will reflect upon these challenging times and hopefully be able to say that we grew from this experience. Until then, as a school, we will continue to prepare, plan, adjust, and work to keep our chil- dren safe, while trying to keep each other safe. We are all in this together. From the Principal…. COVID CRAZY

The COVID situation does not appear to

be moving in the direction that we had all

hoped that it would by now. With that

said, as you know, we have maneuvered

through this ever changing event by ro-

tating from remote to in-person, to quar-

antine, to altering lunch schedules and

dismissal procedures. We now must look

at altering normal and traditional Christ-

mas programs and possibly adjusting the VIP day as well in

February. Thank you for understanding the preparation, pivot-

ing, flexibility that takes place nearly everyday. We are remind-

ed in difficult times that our strength is stronger than we

think and prayer allows us to keep our focus despite challeng-

es and obstacles. When we return to normalcy we will reflect

upon these challenging times and hopefully be able to say that

we grew from this experience. Until then, as a school, we will

continue to prepare, plan, adjust, and work to keep our chil-

dren safe, while trying to keep each other safe. We are all in

this together.

Goal Setting

This is an example of what ap-pears in every classroom. MAP assessment results in each class are charted (without student iden-tity) to identify which levels individ-ual students are and to establish goals for the next round of testing in January. By students taking part in developing their own learning goals, it allows them to be in-volved in their own learning growth. This process is part of the changing learning culture that we have established.

Our middle school students are seeking at least 15 hours of documented community

and/or church service. If you know of an organization that needs help, we have the stu-

dents who can help! Contact us.

K-1 students will attend Mass on Dec. 8 Immac-

ulate Conception instead of Dec. 15th as

previously scheduled.

Due to COVID restrictions, Little North Pole has

been canceled for this year.

Under normal cir-

cumstances we

would not be as

restrictive regard-

ing visitors/parents/etc. to

our school...but…...since

we are in a global pan-

demic we ask that par-

ents/visitors not enter the

building unless necessary

and only after a temp

check has been taken and

mask worn at all times.

Visitors will not be allowed

in the lunch-

room/classroom/outdoors

during lunch in an effort to

reduce transmission op-

portunities and help en-

sure safety for all.

We continue to pray for

normalcy and are hopeful

that the second semester

will allow us some flexibil-

ity.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

This year we will have our K-3

Christmas Concert outdoors.

Why not?

We plan on having it at

10:30am on Friday Dec.17 by

the Parish Center. Additional

details will be released later.

Please keep in mind that we

are planning this event in an

effort to keep with tradition

AND to comply with health

department orders. If at any

time the orders change, we

may

have

to

can-

cel

the

event.

Just as we have done all se-

mester, we are trying to re-

main as normal and to provide

as much structure and continu-

ity as possible for our stu-

dents.

Looking ahead…..we are in

very preliminary discussions

regarding VIP day but the cer-

tainty of that day is unknown at

the present time.
