RECENT PRAYER CONCERNS

♦ Deana Benton began chemo Friday. ♦ Jim Hatfield has been discharged from the hospital. ♦ Rosalie Carroll has been discharged from the hospital. She will have home health care for a while.

♦ Paula Christian had outpatient surgery Friday to improve her current dialysis fistula.

♦ Mona McFall is scheduled for heart surgery on January 15th.

Welcome to Sunset on this last Sunday of 2012. For many the new year brings a fresh opportunity for a new start with its resolutions. For the Christian this takes place daily as we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb in our continuing walk in the light. Last Sunday we prayed for our brother, Rickiedean Dubenion, as he came asking for our support and prayers. And you responded in a wonderful way! Congratulations to Jack Owen and Cyndi Walker on their recent engagement. They are planning a casual

January wedding.

In the new year we will begin two new sermon series: On Sunday mornings we launch an expository series in the book of I Corinthians and on Sunday nights we will being a sermon series on prayer in which we will be looking specifically at the Lord’s Prayer.

Plan to be back tonight for our 5th Sunday singing. Have a wonderful week as we turn the calendar page again.

YOUTH – CREW Notes

New Years Lock-In tomorrow night 7pm-7am! Vans leave the building at 7pm and returning at 7am. Everyone will ride in the vans, no driving yourselves! Cost is $10 to cover the laser tag. Fun, games, swimming and a devotional to bring in the New Year! Please bring a snack to share (enough for you and 11 of your friends.

Next Saturday we will be having a Ghana Paint Party from 1-4pm. We will be tracing and painting sheets for the Ghana mission trip coming up in early February. We need about 15 volunteers to help paint.

On January 6th there will be an LTC kickoff meeting after our evening service, please make plans to attend.
