Opportunities & Special Events

Save the Date! Free Dinner & a Movie Night

On Sunday, January 31st, FBCS will be hosting a free dinner and a movie. The spaghetti dinner will be in the Ministry Center starting at 5:00pm, with the movie “War

Room” at 6:00pm in the sanctuary. There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer soon so to know how much food to prepare.

FBC will be taking a team to Mountain Top Ministries in Haiti, March 4-11, 2016. If you have any interest in going or have questions, please see Misty Hunt as soon as possible. Deadline to join the trip and to pay the $100 reservation fee is January 4, 2016. We will be taking up a love offering on Sunday, January 10th to help those in need of assistance with the trip and to purchase supplies needed for the clinic.

* N e w Ye a r ’ s E v e P a r t y * Spend New Year’s in fellowship. On New Year’s Eve, there will be a gathering in the Ministry Center from 6:00pm until midnight. Board games for all and movies for the kids. Please bring finger foods or a dish to share.

Ladies Night Out Dinner

The next Ladies Night Out Dinner will be Monday, January 11th at La Pachanga in Sullivan at 6:30pm. The sigh-up sheet is at the Welcome Center or call/text Pam

Youth Group (Grades 6-12)! There are no services tonight, therefore, we will not be meeting tonight either. The group will not be a meeting this Wednesday because of the lock-in at 8:00pm. Family Pastor Search Committee Please continue to keep the Family Pastor Search Committee lifted up in prayer as they continue the process of looking over applicants and conducting interviews. The committee members are: Ben Wetherington, Ben Wheaton,

Dusty Tryon, Anna Barcus, Alice Cox, & Patty Cunningham.

Lock-in time! This year's lock-in will be on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 starting at 8:00pm. Everyone who wishes to attend must have a signed permission slip completed by TODAY! If we do not have a permission slip, you will not be able to attend. This year we will be going to Skate

World in Terre Haute. The lock-in will end on December 31, 2015 at 8:00am. If you would like to donate any snack items or chaperon, please see Dusty or Samantha.

Christian Resource Guide At the Welcome Center, there are copies of Christian Resource guides. This is a compilation of Christian websites, charities, television stations, radio stations, Christian Counselors, etc. Please feel free to take one

New Sunday Night Bible Study Starting Sunday, January 3rd at 6:00pm, come join Pastor Ben, in Room #127, as he teaches through Russell Moore’s book & DVD series “ONWARD, Engaging the Culture Without Loosing the Gospel”. As the culture changes around us, it is no longer possible to pretend that we are a Moral Majority. We

need churches to speak to social & political issues with a bigger vision in mind: that of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

why as regards to that mission. Missions Committee members are Phil Whigham (chair), Melanie Bailey, Misty Hunt, Camil Catlin, Merrell McNeill and Beth Jennings. If you have a passion for our church's active participation in missions and would like to further that cause, why not check into serving on the Missions Committee in 2016?
