Distribution of Holy Communion Outside of Mass:
Please also read the Archbishop’s letter regarding distribution of
Holy Communion, provided in the email link.
Following the Guidelines of our Archbishop, for Distribution of
Holy Communion Outside of Mass, St. Mary’s Parish has begun
distributing Holy Communion on Sundays after the 10 am
livestreamed Mass. Distribution of Holy Communion will go on
until noon (11am to Noon).
Also, Distribution of Holy Communion will be held on:
Dec. 25 (Christmas Day);
Dec. 27 (Sunday/Feast of the Holy Family);
January 01 (New Year Day/Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God) and
Sundays in January until we can celebrate Holy Mass with the Con-
gregation.
Please note some highlights of Archbishop’s Directives:
1. Participation in a livestreamed Mass before receiving Holy
Communion is the best preparation for the Sacrament and is
very strongly encouraged.
2. Follow the direction of the Ushers regarding the established
car flow.
3. Wear a face mask.
4. Sanitize your hands.
5. Do not congregate or visit with other parishioners in the
parking lot.
6. Feel free to drive to a parking spot for a time of thanksgiving
(a prayer card will be given to you after receiving Holy
Communion).
According to the Archbishop’s directives, it is imperative that the
guidelines given by the Provincial Health Authorities and the Arch-
diocese be strictly observed, especially the wearing of masks, keeping
physical distance and thorough sanitizing. Any gatherings or the ap-
pearance of such gatherings of large groups of people must be
avoided.
Thank you for your cooperation and may God continue to bless and
protect us always!
SUNDAY ENVELOPES and Special Collection envelopes can be
dropped off during the distribution of Holy Communion.
SUNDAY MISSALS will be available to pick up during the distribu-
tion of Holy Communion. The suggested donation is $5.

Dear Parishioners,
Happy and Blessed Christmas to you!
Christmas is all about the Incarnation. The Incarnation means that God’s Son came down on earth, took on our
human nature in order to confer on us the dignity of children of God. The mystery of the Incarnation is a mystery
of Love. It constitutes the very heart of the Christian Faith. No wonder Christmas is such an important Feast.
Christmas is a Feast of the heart. It reveals to us what the heart of God is like. At the same time it reveals to us what
the human heart is capable of. Christmas causes us to open our hearts. And to open our hearts is to begin to live.
What makes us human is not so much our ability to think as our ability to love.
One of the great gifts in our parish is the spirit of love & generosity demonstrated in countless ways by volunteers of-
fering their time, talent and treasure for the building up of our parish community. Every day, we thank God for the
love and support that comes from so many generous and dedicated parishioners. I remain very grateful to you all espe-
cially during these difficult times.
THANK YOU to all who help us live stream the Holy Mass every day; the cleaners, lectors, ushers/greeters, sacris-
tans, our secretaries and specially Fr. Juan Lucca who was so kind to prepare the Advent Wreath; Christmas Crib/
Creche, decorations and flower arrangements.
2020 is a year, we will never forget. It has been a difficult year for many of us because of Covid-19. Our hearts go
out to many people who have lost much: Some have lost their lives due to the virus; others have lost their loved
ones; still others have lost their jobs and other usual necessities/comforts of life. Our lives have become uncertain,
as we don’t know what’s next. We thank God that the vaccines have finally arrived. We continue to pray to God for
His compassion on the afflicted, eternal rest to the dead, comfort to mourners, healing to the sick, peace to the dying,
strength to healthcare workers, wisdom to our leaders, and the courage to reach out to all, in love.
I am sure, 2020 has also brought us closer to God. It has helped us to do much soul searching and realize that God
is IN CHARGE. Nothing seems to be certain anymore in our lives. St. Ignatius advised: “Choose your vocation
from the viewpoint of your death; live for the next world and you will be much happier in this world, too.” This
thought in particular has helped me during these past 9 months, to be detached from this world and more attached to
God and the things of God. Covid-19 has surely helped me to be prepared to meet my God – my Creator. Although,
we cannot come to Church and celebrate the Holy Eucharist/Mass in person, we are invited to worship the Father
in Spirit and truth (our daily personal prayer), as Jesus so clearly says in John 4:23 “But the hour is coming, and is now
here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; and indeed, the Father seeks such people to
worship Him.”
I would like to conclude, with a famous painting which many of you must have seen. It shows Jesus standing be-
fore a door, his hand lifted in a gesture of knocking. When the artist first showed the painting some sharp eyed per-
son noticed that the door had no knob. He said to the artist, “you made a mistake. What kind of door is that without
a handle?” But the artist replied, “You are correct, but it was not a mistake. The only handle is on the inside. Only
you can open that door to Jesus”. Jesus is knocking at the door of our heart this Christmas. Let HIM come in –
when He does, He will dispel darkness and fill us with His Light, Love, Peace & Joy. (Rev. 3:20 – “Behold, I
stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears my voice and opens the door to me, I will enter his house and dine with
him, and he with me.”)
We, Fr. Juan and Fr. Wilfred wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Christmas! God continue to bless you and
your family abundantly, especially in the New Year - 2021. Please be safe!
