Ms. Parker is currently attending Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Her work includes whimsical, cartoon-inspired digital illustrations. Join us in the main-floor Miron Fireside Room to meet with her and share how she creates her art on Thursday, December 19, at 5:30pm. Lobby Case Were showcasing a collection of Santa Claus figures in a variety of materials, sizes, and designs. This is a collection of a Friend of the Library. Circulation Area Display Case Feel like youre traveling through time when you take in this collection of Little Golden Books which have been loved by children for over 75 years. When they were first published in 1942, high-quality books for children hadnt been available at a price most people could afford. Little Golden Books changed that! Priced at just 25¢ and sold where people shopped every day, they caused an instant sensation and were soon purchased by the hundreds of thousands. These books are part of the personal collection of Friend of the Library Mrs. Martha Nokes, retired librarian. Art Wall During December the library is hosting an exhibit of digital art by Lydia Parker. Ms. Parker is currently attending Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. NaNoWriMo—Wrap-up Session Sunday, December 1, from 1:00 - 3:00pm The Fox Cities NaNoWriMo Chapter and the library will celebrate all of this year’s writers. There will be a ceremony to acknowledge the achievement of this year’s participants. Please bring a dish to pass and enjoy a potluck.

Fox Cities Reads The 2020 Fox Cities Reads title is The Latehomecomer: a Hmong family memoir by Kao Kalia Yang. Pick up a copy at the library and join in on the community conversation. The author will be visiting the Fox Cities with her father on April 16 & 17.

Winter Reading Program Watch for the library’s Winter Reading Program — Reading is Magic — for all ages, beginning January 6 and running through February 15. Read for weekly prizes and grand prizes.
