2018 BOARD OF DIRECTORS Thank you to the 2018 Board of Directors for all your work this past year. 2018 was a great year and we are so apprecia-tive of the time you devoted to make the TLTC a fabulous place to be!

SANTA BRUNCH RECAP One of our favorite events of the year is the TLTC Santa Brunch! We had over 100 members in attendance this year and fun was had by all. We had a blast making tennis ball ornaments, decorating cookies and decorating picture frames for the adorable Santa photos. Santa enjoyed our company and promised he will do his best to grant our TLTC kids their wishes!

ADULT HOLIDAY PARTY RECAP Thank you to everyone that came out to the TLTC Adult Holiday Party. We had the biggest turnout we have ever had with over 425 members in attendance. Thank you to X-Group for catering a delicious dinner! It was so wonderful to see everyone!

TENNIS COURT REMINDERS *Please remember to wait until people are done playing be-fore walking onto the court. *Please clean up your court (water cups, tennis balls, ball hoppers, etc.) upon completion of your play/court time. *Please leave the court clean. This will be appreciated by the members who have the next court time. *Please sign in when registering for your court on the com-puter. All you need to do is click the box next to your name. *Please pick up all the balls after you use the ball machine. Pick up the balls behind the curtain and all the balls on the court.

PROBLEMS WITH LINE CALLS Do you need help in your matches with line calls? Oops, excuse us – do your opponents need help with their line calling? In/Out is a new invention that calls the lines for you. All you need to do is just strap it to the top of the net post, give it a few seconds to assimi-late the courts lines, and start playing. When a ball lands out, In/Out flashes a RED light which is very noticeable for all players to see. We tried this out at the club and it worked very well. The internet cost is approximately $250. It could be that something like In/Out will be used in the future for all USTA or tour-nament matches.

INDOOR COURT LIGHTING PROJECT The indoor courts have all new LED lighting. Many mem-bers have not even noticed the change to our lights. We think this is possibly because they now look like they are supposed to look. They are all the same color and brightness. The new LED lighting uses approximately half of the energy that the old lighting system used. Tacoma Power has a rebate going so we will only pay half the cost of this project. Also, this new LED lighting system will repay itself in under 2 years in energy costs. We will soon be installing a sensor system so that when no one is on the courts, the lighting will turn off.

NEXT PROJECT We are now looking at installing new LED lighting in both domes. Tacoma Power will pay for half of the cost and the new lighting system will pay for itself in approximately 2 years. Both domes will also be in-stalled with new lighting sensors so that the lights will be turned off when no one is using the courts. The lights will come on immediately when someone walks into the dome. The new sensor system and LED light-ing will be a great addition for the club and will save the club money.

Ho Ho Ho MERRY CHRISTMAS

ONLINE COURT BOOK Reminder: The online court book is accessible from your computer, laptop, cell phone, etc. This is a very handy tool! If you need help or instructions with how to access the online court book, let us know. We are happy to help!
