Just a Thought!
As I take my seat to write this
morning, a torrent of thoughts flood my mind. It’s been a lit-tle more than 3 weeks since
my wife Karen had a heart at-tack, followed by cardiac arte-
rial bypass surgery. In this time, the Lord has done much to affirm and encourage our family, much of it through
you.
Words will not adequately express the praise
I have for Him, or the gratitude I have to you for the prayers and encouragement. It is a
pleasure serving you and your congregation.
Please know that Karen’s recovery is coming along well. She attended church last Sunday
for the first time post surgery. Assuming her progress continues, the surgeon expects full
recovery soon after the New Year.
Reflecting on these days two thoughts come to mind. First, I praise the Lord that Karen,
our children, and I know Him. I couldn’t im-agine facing the concerns we faced as unbe-
lievers. What would have been unbearable, was for us an encounter with His grace.
Second, I am even more impressed by the
needs of the lost. Experiencing His presence these days makes me even more committed
to share His truth with those who do not know.
Obviously for the Turnbo family, the 2015
Christmas season will be an especially special one. May it be so for you and yours as well.
Merry Christmas, and may God bless and keep you.
Bro. Jim

These churches have been asked by the Friendship Center to get involved
in the food drive for November. The Center needs all kinds of canned goods,
flour, corn meal, dried beans, macaroni and cheese, powdered milk, baby
foods and formulas, and diapers. Any effort made for the Friendship
Center will be appreciated. Some churches have chosen to include the
Friendship Center in their annual budget and send a monthly check for sup-
port.
Runnin’ WJ Ranch needs financial support, volunteers, and supplies as well.
