The response was great! One person accepted the Lord as her personal Savior! The people have been very grateful to have someone to pray for them. We are in need of people who will counsel and pray with the people- especially some women. Pray for this new sister in Christ, the ones who volunteer to help, and for the ones who come in for medications or to see the Doctor. Also, pray that the pharmacy/clinic will receive the medications, supplies and Doctors that are needed to carry on this much needed work in our community. Karen Horn

SALVATION PREPARED IN ETERNITY PAST “For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all people.” (Luke 2:30-31)

Of all those awaiting the coming of Christ, there was a devout man by the name of Simeon. The Lord had promised that he

would not die until he had seen the promised Redeemer. According to the custom of the Law, Joseph and Mary brought the baby Jesus to the temple.

When Simeon saw Him, he took Him up in his arms and blessed God. It had been made known to him that this Child would bring salvation to His people. The Babe was God incarnate! He was born in a manger, announced by the angels,

adored by the shepherds, presented in the temple, and worshiped by Simeon and many others. This Baby was the fulfillment of dozens of prophecies that pointed to the Savior, whose name is Jesus! It was unmistakable. God purposed it all in eternity past. Jesus came in the fullness of

time (Gal.4:4). He was divinely prepared for the salvation of sinners.

My prayer during this Christmas season is that we will make this glorious salvation, this unspeakable gift, the theme of our conversations. If we do, there will be sinners who will listen

and sinners that will be saved. Remember to be very generous with your gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering, 100% of which goes directly to the mission field.

From the office of the BBA, to each who read the Challenger, there is extended the wish of a very Merry Christmas. May this wonderful season of the year be filled with the grace, joy

and peace of Christ for you.

“I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. And I do all things for the sake of the gospel, so that I may become a fellow partaker of it” (1 Cor. 9:22-23, NASB).

As I read this verse, the question comes to my mind, Am I willing to go to this length to see a soul saved? Are we as members of our local church actually willing to make this type commitment to see souls saved in our mission field? There is nothing more exciting than being in the right place at the right time when God saves a soul. What a joy to see God at work right before our eyes. It is the power of God alone that can transform a life, but He has been so gracious to invite us to work with Him in the redemption process. I hope that you are growing in boldness and obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to share His Good News about Jesus. God has you in a particular place right now to give someone hope for eternity. Who is it that God would have you to wit-ness to at this time. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and speak out for the One who gave His life for you.

Baseball season is over, but I want to use something that happens in baseball to make a point here. The runner is on base, it is the batters responsibility to get the runner home for a score. We are the batter and we need to get the runner on base home. We need to do whatever we can to get the runner home (heaven). Pray, minister, visit, de-velop a relationship, invite, share, what-

ever it takes to let them know you care, and God loves them. Do your part this month to get someone home. Share the good news of salvation with someone this month. We did better last church year, let’s see more souls grasped from the pits of hell this year. You are the batter, do your part. Bro. Anthony
