Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Saturday, December 24 7:00 pm
We invite you and your family and friends to our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service this Saturday, December 24, at 7:00 pm. Pastor Paul will be giving a Christmas Message & Prayer, Communion will be served by ‘intinction’, special music will be provided, and the Light from the Christ Candle will be shared with persons in the congregation, who in turn will give light to the person next to them until all the candles are lit. We will be singing familiar carols as we light the candles. Come early and enjoy some treats! Don’t miss out on this meaningful service!
From Your RHCC Staff On behalf of the entire staff here at Richland Hills, we want to thank you all for your generous love offering for us. We feel so blessed to serve God here in this congregation, and we look forward to many more years of working together for the Glory of God. Merry Christmas!

Play Room Parent Helper Winter/Early Spring Schedule
Play Room Parent Helpers leave the sanctuary with the preschool age children following the Children’s Moment. The Parent Helper assists Ms. Jenn with snack time and
table activities in the Resource Room and Play Room activities until the end of the worship service. The most important responsibilities are to be an extra pair of hands for Ms. Jenn and an extra pair of eyes to help monitor our busy
preschool children. The Parent Helper will remain in the Play Room until all children are dismissed to the designated parent, grandparent, or guardian. If you are unable to serve on the Sunday you are scheduled, please trade
dates with another parent listed. In order for the Play Room to be open, a Parent Helper must be in the room with Ms. Jenn. Thank you for serving in the ministry to our children and parents.

PRAYER REQUESTS FOR OUR CHURCH FAMILY:
A Change for Christmas Eve
This Saturday at 7:00 pm marks the third year I have presided at our beautiful Christmas Eve Service. Since the first year, our family has provided goodies for those that would come because this service has one of the largest number of guests we have all year. With that in mind, this year I would like to make it a church-wide effort to bring goodies for our service. If you would like to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Just cook or buy one of your favorite holiday treats to bring and share not only with our members, but the many guests that will be here. Arrive a little early so we can put them out. Just call or email the office and let us know what you are going to bring. Thanks for your support as always.
—Pastor Paul
QUOTE: The Purpose of Christmas by Rick Warren
The path to the peace of God comes through living and enjoying one day at a time, accepting what cannot be changed instead of worrying about it, trusting in God’s loving care and wisdom, and surrendering to his purpose and plan for your life. Jesus makes this promise: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

What a Cantata!
The choir and praise band this past Sunday shared with us the fruit of their hard work and efforts. Each year they seem to get better and better, and we are the recipients. It truly blessed us all. This year we saw the addition of the praise band to the service, and it added even more depth and richness to the worship.
Thank you to all the members of the choir and praise band and the Christmas gift we got to experience early.
