Eucharistic AdorationAdvent is an ideal time to attend Eucharistic Adora-tion to draw you closer to a significant spiritual Christ-mas experience. Here at St. Cecilia, Eucharistic Ad-oration is observed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We maintain strict security measures between 10 pm and 6 am.

If you have any questions, please call the office, con-tact Jorge Cardenas at [email protected], or contact Leo De Leon, Jr. at [email protected]. You do not have to register to adore at the Chapel. You can “come and go” as you have time.

Why Courageous Conversations? We need safe plac-es and relationships to face and respond to the cur-rent struggles within our Church related to the past misdeeds of some of our clergy. We need opportuni-ties to gather to reflect, pray, and listen to each other.

We invite you to join a structured, small group discus-sion with other parishioners. These one-time discus-sions will be scheduled in January. If you would like to participate in a conversation, please let us know in one of the following ways: email [email protected] with your name and email/phone number, go to the Courageous Conversation page under Life Long Faith Formation on our website, or stop by the office to give us your contact information.

Once we know who will participate, we will sched-ule sessions and be in further contact with particulars about meeting times. Contact Kimberly Newcomb [email protected] for more information.

Thanksgiving Meal in a BagDear parishioners, you donated a record number of bags for the Thanksgiving Meal in a Bag at East Spring Branch Food Pantry. We served approximately 940 families a phenomenal amount of food.

The impact of all this comes down to an encounter that I had today at the local Whataburger. Kathy, a lady that works there, thanked us so much for the food that she had gotten on Tues-day. She brought to our table another helping of fries, her gift to us. "You deserve this. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving." That was thanks enough. We are thankful to all the members of St. Ce-cilia that help us in this ministry to the poor. Have a blessed life!
