Snow Event• Winter Weather Advisory in effect 6 PM this
evening through 6 PM Friday• Rain/snow mix begins soon in the far
western Panhandles. Snow will spread east over the entire area by midnight.
• Heaviest snow on Friday midnight-noon.– Ending late Friday afternoon into Friday evening.
• Winds will be fairly light (North becoming East 10-15 mph)
Impacts• Morning travel concerns due to snow covered
roads on:– Interstates 40 and 27– All other Highways and Surface Streets
• Possible refreezing taking place on roads Friday night
• Occasional visibility restrictions due to the falling snow
• Wind chills Friday and Saturday morning in the 10 to 20 degree range with locally colder conditions
