RESIDENTSand factory operatorsof Kampung lembah Kinrara,Puchong, met the local MCAdivi-sion chairman Wong Hock Aunrecently to highlight a few issuesaffecting them.

One of the issues was aboutrubbish thrown on the banks ofthe KlangRiver, near the KampungLembah Kinrara industrial area.

There are about 30 factories, including warehouses and furni-ture factories in the area.

A factory manager, Pang GoFatt, 60, said since they tarred thedirt road near the river, the prob-lem of rubbish dumping hasincreased.

"Factory operators forked outmoney to beautify the river banks.Apart from tarring the dirt road,we also planted shrubs and treesby the river.

"But for the past two years, outsiders have been dumpingwaste and construction materialat the site," Pang said.

.

Rubbish nightmare: Factory operators and Wong (second fromright) inspecting the garbage dump by the riverbank at the Kinraraindustrial area: '

lip the waste, but the situation isgetting worse. '

Wong hoped that the 5ubang, jaya MunicipalCouncil (MP5j)

would look into the matter and

He claimed, the culprits came atnight in lorries, judging from theamount of rubbish deposited.

So far, the factory operatorshave been hiring people to clean

clear up the rubbish.'The authorities should have

night patrols to apprehend theculprits," he said.

Another issue highlighted wasthe access road to Kampunglembah Kinrara and its surround-ing areas, such as jalan Tiong, '

Impiana Hcightsand KoiKinrara. Now,there was onlyone access

road, which was through jalanPipit in Puchongjaya.

Wong said the traffic conges-tjon was serious especiallyduringpeak hours, as there were twoschoolsin the area; SMKPuchongjaya (A)and SKpuchongJaya(2).

"With the number of.houses, shops and factories in lembahKinrara, one access road will notbe enough.

"It will be difficultifany emer-gencyoccurs,"he said,addingthatMP5j should provide alternativeroads out to the Kesas and LOPhighways:

Wong said he hoped, the rele-vant authorities would look intoboth issues.
