Dear Parishioners, Easter is a lunar holiday. The date of Easter is always moving because it is tied to the position of the moon. For the record, Easter is the first Sunday after the spring full moon. We associate Easter with spring, flowers, and new born animals. While we use all those images, they dont fit in countries below the equator because for them Easter is the beginning of winter. Our Easter images then cant be universal. Easter is about the promise of Christ that He is alive always and He is with us always. Bunnies and chicks and spring flowers point to new life but they dont fully capture what Easter is about. Death could not stop the Lord. He is all powerful and is with us. With the Risen Lord we have endless possibility. Too often we take on the attitude of impossibility. We dont have enough money, or strength or time. We need to reverse that thinking. We have some time, some money, or some strength. When we walk with the risen Lord, nothing can stop us from accomplishing the works of God. The Lord is alive and with us and to that we respond Alleluia! God Bless, Fr. Faith Formation: Are you being called to serve? Plans are in

the making for Faith Formation 2016-2017. There are many opportunities to work with our parish youth: Vacation Bible School, Faith Formation classes, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Youth Group, Sacramental Preparation, Bible Study….email [email protected] with ideas and comments.

Children’s Worship Bulletin: We are pleased to offer our

young parishioners their very own activity bulletin. Each week-end, you can find a colored Children’s bulletin next to our stand-ard bulletins. This booklet will hold crosswords, coloring pages, word searches, puzzles, and more - all related to the Gospel. Pick one up – take a look. If your child would love to have an activity during or after church to fully engage all of their senses in the Gospel, I think this is it.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word: CLOW will not be held on Sunday, March 27th. We are so blessed to have a children’s ministry program during our 10:30am mass. This allows us to meet with our youngest parishioners and bring the Gospel to them, on their level. Every child, aged 2 – 6 will enjoy our activities and lessons. Hope to see you there in April.
