What Happens when the US Congress Awakens a Sleeping Giant ? A Truly Non Partisan Grassroots American Effort Arises From It's Sleeping Giant State,
To Singularly Focus On Term Limits For US Congress. .
Fort Wayne, IN: Today, we reached over 100,000 plus State and Local County people engaged in supporting our efforts, and we the leadership knew it was true, The People wanted change.. Officially Organized April 1, 2014, no other organization has reached this goal in such a short time. But, with a 9% approval rating for the US Congress and a 75% support rate for Imposing Term Limits for the US Congress, our highlyfocused and singular goal makes Term Limits for US Congress a highly probable success, unlike many Corporatebacked partisan approaches.
Regarding our recent 100,000 plus personal milestone, National Director Bob Reid said “ The number joining us affirms our original beliefs. We are on the right path. One that is very unique; a national grassroots movement by the people and for the people. When we begin petitioning nationally on May 26th, we will be under many spotlights. Our strongest initial impact will be in the 38 States in which we currently have teams in place, but we will quickly spread to consume the remaining 12.”
Another Board Member and Indiana State Lead Robert Gard Said “We, as a nation, are in desperate need of a means to overhaul the US Congress. The level of dysfunction, disconnect, and corruption has reached an all time high and those with the primary means to fix the problems are those who are the root of the problem. An Article 5 “Amending Convention” of the US Constitution will fix that”.
One of the three board members was overheard to say: “Congress may have awakened a sleeping giant; but we don’t need their permission to do what were doing. It has been in the US Constitution as Article 5 since it was put to pen, “It’s peremptory, Congress SHALL CALL...” That is if 2/3 (34) of the States can agree on one subject, bring it to a “Amending Constitution Convention”, vote on it, bring it back to the States and then 3/4 (38) states ratify it. It then becomes an amendment to the US Constitution WITHOUT the approval of Congress. About Term Limits for US Congress Inc. Legally formed on April 1, 2014, April Fools Day, as a Non Profit Domestic Corporation in Indiana. It sits three National Board Members and a Board of Advisors, of who are mostly State Leads in each of the 38 states were presently in, with county leads in most all of the states. Term Limits for the US Congress will push this grassroots movement from the County level right on up to the State Legislators, so our voices will be heard loud and clear, were taking back our Country.

Founded on two simple principles: This is more than rhetoric. It is founded on two simple psychological principles. Studies have proven that the likelihood of succumbing to temptation is directly related to the length of exposure to temptation. Studies have also proven that the persona is molded by the continuous and repetitious actions of our environment. From the moment members step into Congress, they enter a world of unimaginable temptation and a lavish lifestyle in which the rich and powerful cater to their every need, and they're not going to want to leave.
Congress is Polarized, “Nah say it ain’t so Joe”
Over the past 30 years we have seen the number of senior members in the Senate alone (20 years and over) triple and as the number has increased, so the ideologies of the two parties have become increasingly polarized. The result is the most dysfunctional Congress in the history of our country. The Voting System aint Broke. It works just fine. (maybe for Congress it does)
The voting system is broken. In exit polls the majority of voters have confessed to voting based on name recognition, party lines, or media exposure. With the name recognition, the party line support, and an average of 7 times the donations from lobbyists, incumbents stand a 90% or higher reelection rate, regardless of their performance. In states and districts with strong party control, incumbents remain in Congress for as long as they choose, often passing on their Congressional legacy to family members. There is only one option remaining. We must impose Term Limits on the US Congress and we will need to do so without their approval.
Hasn’t this been done before ? Although the topic of imposing Term Limits on the US Congress has been debated since the inception of our nation and used as a campaign platform by many candidates, it is not reasonable to expect the US Congress to limit their personal futures by passing such legislation.
The alternative, which has received recent attention, is the use of the second option of Article 5 of the US Constitution to bypass the US Congress to pass Amendments to the US Constitution.
Not all efforts to use the second option of Article 5 are the same and herein lie the fundamental differences that dramatically increase our movement’s potential to succeed.

Additional background Information on: Term Limits for US Congress Inc. is an allvolunteer, nonpartisan, national grassroots movement designed to use petitioning to the State Legislatures, requesting the Legislatures to apply to the US Congress for an Article 5 Convention, for the sole purpose of imposing Term Limits on the US Congress. The unique attributes of this movement are as follows:
• As an allvolunteer organization, this movement is being organized, lead, and all actions performed by average Americans, none of whom are receiving a penny for their actions.
• Being a nonpartisan effort, those involved are from every walk of life; crossing all political divides.
• The movement has no association with any political party, special interest group, lobbying agency, or big business.
• This is the first coordinated national movement using constituent petitioning to pressure State Legislatures into calling for an Article 5 Convention for a singular topic.
• This is the only national movement that is focusing exclusively on a single, nonpartisan Amendment, which drastically improves the likelihood of receiving the support of not only the 34 States needed to call a Convention, but the 38 States needed for the ratification following the Convention.
Rather than bringing the media in at an early stage, we felt it more reasonable to fly below the radar while building and organizing the movement using social networking over the past six months, realizing it had to formalize it’s official status on April 1, 2014.
To date we have over 100,000 + members involved at the National level with many more on the State and County level with teams prepared to begin petitioning across the nation on May 26th, Memorial Day.
With a 9% approval rating for the US Congress and a 75% support rate for Imposing Term Limits for the US Congress, our highlyfocused and singular goal make Term Limits for US Congress Inc. the first realistic opportunity for the People and the States to supercede the US Congress and Amend the US Constitution without requiring the approval of the US Congress.
