Michael Deane has always been propelled by his pure passion for food and its possibilities. His desire to develop and share this vision inspired Michael to open the first DEANES Restaurant in 1993, and today it is still his determination and dedication that continues to drive him in the success of the present day DEANES Empire.
From his modest beginnings backstage at Claridges, Michael worked his way up the ranks of some of the worlds finest Kitchens. The wealth of experience this afforded him allowed Michael to develop his own unique style and bring Michelin star cuisine home to Belfast

Guild Commended Framer. The framer specialises in hand finished
mounts and frames using a variety of techniques to best preserve and

Chef Michael Deane has cast his net even wider again with the opening of Deanes Seafood Bar in Howard Street in Belfast City Centre. Adjoining Deanes Restaurant the stylish Seafood Bar is in simple contrast to the more formal restaurant.
The blackboard menus list the dishes on offer daily, natural local Oysters, juicy Mussels, creamy Chowder and organic smoked Salmon sitting comfortably alongside Deanes signature Fish and Chips and the fresh daily Fish dishes.
