A.) WHY DEAL WITH DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD SERIOUSLY ?

1.) DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD GRIEVES HIM

GREATLY

•Genesis 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

Ephesians 4:30(MSG)30 Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.

•1Samuel 15:11 "I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions. " Samuel was troubled, and he cried out to the LORD all that night.

•Psalms 78:40 How often they rebelled against him in the desert and grieved him in the wasteland!

2.) DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD IS INSPIRED BY

AND GRATIFIES SATAN

•Ephesians 2:2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.

4.) DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD LEADS TO

SORROWS,CONFUSION AND RUINED LIFE

•Psalms 51:8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice

•Nehemiah 9:29 "You warned them to return to your law, but they became arrogant and disobeyed your commands. They sinned against your ordinances, by which a man will live if he obeys them. Stubbornly they turned their backs on you, became stiff-necked and refused to listen.

5.) DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD STUMBLES MANY AND

INFLUENCING MANY TO DISOBEY GOD AS WELL.•Romans 14:13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.

B. HOW TO DEAL WITH DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD SERIOUSLY AND OVERCOME IT.

1.) RENOUNCE THE ROOT SPIRIT OF UNBELIEF AND DISOBEDIENCE

TO GOD IN YOUR DAILY DANIEL PRAYER AND

ALL YOUR TIMES OF PRAYER.

•Hebrews 3:18 And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?

•Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

•Psalms 106:24 Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise.

•Psalms 106:25 They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the LORD.

•Deuteronomy 9:23 And when the LORD sent you out from Kadesh Barnea, he said, "Go up and take possession of the land I have given you." But you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. You did not trust him or obey him.

2.) SURRENDER THE HUMAN WILL AND COMMIT TO DO GOD'S WILL IN ALL

OUR PRAYERS.

•Luke22:42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."

•Romans 12:22 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

3.) CRUCIFY THE FLESH BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

•Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,

4.) PRAY FOR INCREASING "FEAR OF

GOD" IN YOUR LIFE.•Proverbs 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD.•Proverbs 16:6 Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil.
