Dengue Fever is a virus. There are 4 strains of dengue virus. People can get dengue fever more than once because they can be infected by a different strain each time.

The mosquito Aedes aegypti transmits the virus.

Currently in 2nd place after Indonesia and has 23% of all cases in region-about 50,000
