A Note from our Pastor….. In a normal year our minds would be turning to Spring about now. I’d like to ignore the current situation for a moment and think about those things for a bit. It would be the season of Spring Cleaning! I’ve already seen some of my neighbors placing extra items at the curb for trash pick up and I believe they have been doing some cleaning of their own. I would usually go through the spaces in our home where I work the most and clean up the clutter of projects completed and postponed. Throwing out some boxes and bits as well as making some as-sessments of plans not yet happening. We would spend time in the yard pulling out plants that faired poorly in the winter and adding some for the new season. Eventually the closet would beckon and clothes would change from warmer to cooler offer-ings and the ones that have shrunk over the winter would be banished to the attack. Spiritually, some spring cleaning is a good idea as well. This Sunday a new sermon series begins for a few weeks that will look at areas where we can focus on improving our walk of disci-pleship. Paul writes in Philippians 2:1-2 “ Therefore if there is any en-couragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.” He calls us to be like Christ! It’s a tall order to be sure and a process. This Spring may we take inventory and discard the things we find that aren’t like Him and adopt items that are. Blessings, Pastor George

Phone Conference for Worship Services I’ve talked with a few churches who are using Skype and seem to be having success for holding phone conference services. So, here’s how it works. We will start the Skype call to you just a few minutes before each service starts. Your phone should ring a li le before 11 on Sunday morning, a li le before 6:00 on Sunday nights, and a li le before 6:30 on Wednesday nights. The call will come from the pastor’s cell phone (it’s an 803 number). Hope-fully, you’ll be able to listen in to the service and enjoy being a part of worship in these challeng-ing mes. Here’s what you need to do to be included. Call the church office and let us know you’d like to get the calls and what number you’d like the call to come to. If you don’t want to hear all three services, please call to let us know which ones you would like to receive. In addi on, if you decide you no longer want these calls, simp-ly let us know and we’ll remove you from the list.

May God bless you! Pastor George

Thank you for your prayers and support as we move into the Spring while figuring out this new dynamic we find ourselves in. I have been so encouraged by the response of our church and com-munity as the days and weeks pass. We are constantly trying to improve the ways we reach out to one another as well as looking for ways to save some expenses in our operating cost. One of the things that has been made available recently is a way to continue our online giving efforts at a reduced fee from what we were using. I know many of you aren’t interested in online giving and that’s okay. I am told there is several thousand dollars that are donated to the church through online giving each month, which is wonderful. There are now three ways you can give online through the new “Abundant Giving” service. 1. From the church’s website there is a giving page where you can click on a link which takes you to a form where you can establish one time or recurring gifts from an account or card of your choosing. The General Budget, Back Pack Buddies or a Memori-al gift are current options. 2. From your smart phone you can text “TMBCGiving” to 73256 and then follow the link in the response you receive where you’ll have the options mentioned above. 3. Finally, the Abundant Giving APP is available in most platforms. You simply download, search for and select Thomas Memorial as your recipient and complete your registration and the options mentioned above are available for you to support. Many of you have so faithfully been mailing your tithes and offer-ings to the church office, stopping by with them and a word of en-couragement or placing them in the “offering can” at our drive-in service. I am continually amazed at TMBC’s ability to find a way to get things done in these times. Thank you! Pastor George
