ISTINYE PARKIstanbul, Turkey

Master-planned on over 13 hectares, Istinye features a range of retail, restaurant and entertainment venues serviced by four levels of sub-grade parking. The project’s centerpiece is the Grand Rotunda, a dramatic arena-like space beneath a

scalloped, segmented roof structure. Supported by a central exterior mast and suspension cables, this 100-meter-diameter hard-shell canopy encloses a food court, a 10-screen stadium-seating cinema, themed retail and an amphitheater. The

open-air Lifestyle Center, with central town park, world-class street-side shopping and two levels of specialty retail, offers a relaxed atmosphere.

Smooth curves and elegant forms distinguish the architecture throughout the project and reinforce the contemporary styling and organic feel of the design. Akbatı’s overall presentation reinforces a vision of a vibrant new destination; a standout

selection of residential, lifestyle and retail options with a combination of breathtaking visuals and first-class amenities that represents the best that Istanbul has to offer. The master-planned project strives for – and achieves – a balance

between intimate residential spaces and vibrant retail, dining and entertainment options – both a home and a destination for Istanbul residents.

PONDOK INDAHJakarta, Indonesia

The Pondok Indah Mall features an expanded range of shopping, dining and entertainment experiences to the DDG-designed mall that became Jakarta’s first and most prestigious multi-level shopping center. The expansion takes

on a more historical character, with shapes, materials and finishes referencing Old World styles, yet remains compatible with the existing mall’s more contemporary design. The multi-story family entertainment center anchors one end

of the expansion and a 300-room hotel anchors the other end. Superior banquet facilities will draw local events, while swimming pools, tennis courts and a health club will attract business visitors and tourists alike.

MIRAFLORES EXPANSIONGuatemala City, Guatemala

The third expansion phase of one of the largest and most successful shopping centers in Guatemala City, created a grand scale, 3-story fashion court with an upper level upscale food court as the Southern terminus of the mall, while

maintaining its continued operations. An additional 3 level transition mall provided new mixed retail offerings and a themed cluster of multiple family restaurants.

The exterior façade concept for the new space continued existing brick finishes while celebrating the building’s terminus by introducing accent detailing in a variety of colored brick patterns to recall traditional and colorful Guatemalan fabrics.

OAKLAND MALL | SIGNAGE + GRAPHICSGuatemala City, Guatemala

The goal for Oakland Mall is to enhance the guest experience by creating a sense of place that is truly unique. The soft curves of the emphasized “O” found in the projects identity serve as inspiration for the signage. Utilizing the materials and

finishes of the mall, cool tones of the curved metal panels are balanced by warm wood tones in this simple yet sophisticated sign system.

AKASYAIstanbul, Turkey

The Akasya master plan transforms a former factory site into an iconic development. A large elliptical landscaped park unifies the site, providing literal and intuitive connections between three zoned parcels. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, and

pedestrian pathways, Central Park functions as a natural transition between residential components and the retail and entertainment center to the south. Residential offerings include high-rise residential towers anchoring the northern

and southern ends of the project. The dramatic southern tower sits atop the shopping center and creates a defining reference point; a visual and conceptual sight-corridor into the project from adjacent highways.

GRAND METROPOLITANBekasi, Indonesia

Built alongside the Kalimalang River waterfront and immediately adjacent to a major national highway connector to Jakarta, the mall occupies a prime position in a rapidly evolving region. Striking exterior visuals take full advantage

of that position, with distinctive curvilinear forms accented by extensive mirrored paneling that presents a dramatic contemporary flair. Grand Metropolitan is a four-level center with three large oval courts defining its interior space. The

large central skylighted court features abundant natural lighting and a bustling restaurant gallery to activate the space. Above, a rooftop restaurant includes multiple outdoor dining terraces atop this dynamic new shopping center.
