IntroductionThe Commission

Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005 read

w i t h t h e G o v t . o f I n d i a , M H A ' s

Notification F.No. U-11030/1/2007-UtL

dated 15 January, 2008, gazetted by the

Govt. of NCT of Delhi on 7 July, 2008.

Further u/s 13(1j) of the Commissions

for Protection of Child Rights Act 2005, this

Commission is empowered to undertake

inquiry into complaints and to take suo-

motu notice of matters relating to : (i)

deprivation and violation of child rights

(ii) Non-implementation of laws providing

for protection and development of children

(iii) Non-compliance of policy decisions,

guidelines or instructions aimed at

mitigating hardships to ensuring welfare

of the children and to provide relief to such

children or to take up the issues arising out

of such matters with the appropriate
