    Jazz on the National Mall is aree all-day event that eatures

    some o todays most celebrated jazz artists. Located at theSylvan Amphitheater on theNational Mall, at the oot o theWashington Monument, Jazz onthe National Mall is the biggestand best-attended event o theFestival, attracting more than30,000 visitors each year.     Honoring Artistsand AdvocatesEach year, the DC Jazz Festivalhonors jazz greats and supporters

    or their li etime achievementsand enduring contributionsto jazz.

    The DCJF Li etime Achievement Award is bestowed at the DCJFsannual Jazz Masters Live concertduring the Festival, in conjunctionwith the National Endowment

    or the Arts, to individuals whohave distinguished themselvesas renowned artists and modelrepresentatives or jazz, and havededicated their lives to jazz as anart orm, an education tool, anda uni ying orce.
