DBI Certification operates as an impartial third-party and has extensive experience with conformity assessment of products, systems and system parts and is authorised to prepare and issue certificates in compliance with the requirements of:

• Construction Products Regulation (CPR) - EU No. 305/2011• Marine Equipment Directive (MED) - 96/98/EC

We can provide you with the EC certificates necessary for the CE and Ship’s wheel marking of your products.

The CE and Ship’s wheel markings are key indicators of a product’s compliance with EU legislation and that the pro-duct satisfies a harmonised level of security. The markings

enable marketing of the product in the European Economic Area (EEA) and can add increased value and recognition to your product.

In addition, we offer to witness product tests performed on your premises in accordance to MarEd recommendations. This will save you time in the certification process.

Notified for product certificationDBI Certification is a competent and impartial certification partner and is designated by DANAK (the Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund) as a Notified Body for product certification in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). In addition, we are also notified by the Danish Maritime Authority in relation to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) and are accredited for product certification in accordance with a number of European and national standards.

Authorised inspection agencyDBI Certification is authorised by the Danish Safety Technology Authority as an inspection agency of safety quality management systems required for a company’s electrical licensing. Moreover, we act as an inspection agency of quality systems as required for the approval of the company for the installation of fire protection systems and electrical thermography.

DBI Certification A/S is a 100% owned subsidiary of DBI (Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology) and works as a completely separate company with both domestic and international customers.

DBI Certification does not offer any type of consulting and is a professional, competent certification partner with a high level of quality and service as well as short delivery times.
