db Mobile Authenticator Overview

The db Mobile Authenticator provides DAS-SQL users the opportunity and flexibility to unlock cabinets, that they have access

rights to, with biometric authentication from an iOS device.

The iPhone or iPad must be connected to the same network as the database being used for authentication over a local wireless

connection.

Authenticated users have the option to unlock assigned cabinets by touching and releasing the lock inside the App and a duress

alarm can be generated in DAS-SQL by touching and maintain contact on the lock inside the App.

Installing the Mobile Authenticator

The Mobile App is installed via the Apple App Store. To install, search for “Digitus db Mobile Authenticator” and select Get.

Once the installation has completed, select Open.

The DigitusMobile icon will be accessible after completion.

Configure db Mobile Authenticator

To configure the db Mobile Authenticator, choose Settings and select the DigitusMobile icon. There are two options to configure.

The first is Demo mode. Demo mode can be enabled or disabled and allows a connection to the DAS-SQL database, but limits

functionality to either allow device authentication or simply show the devices.

The second is the internal IP Address of the DAS-SQL server.

Use db Mobile Authenticator

After entering the internal IP address, open DigitusMobile and touch the recycle symbol to establish a connection to the DAS-

SQL database. During the initial connection to the DAS-SQL database, the PIN and password must be entered.

Once access has been granted, a fingerprint registered inside the mobile device (Mobile ID) can be used to authenticate to

the database using the password that was saved at the initial login. To use the local print for authentication, simply tap the

fingerprint icon and use the biometric scanner on the mobile device.

**The fingerprint stored locally on the mobile device should match the fingerprint registered in DAS-SQL**

Once connected to the DAS-SQL database, the Zones that the authenticated user has permission to view and

access will be shown.

By touching the Zone, the appropriate devices will be displayed and the current lock status will be shown.

To send an unlock command to a device, simply tap the lock icon and touch the fingerprint icon that appears on

the screen. That command will send the fingerprint that was used to authenticate to the DAS-SQL database to

the device. If the saved credentials and print matches an authorized user, the device will be unlocked.

The lock status will be updated if the page is refreshed.

**Pressing and holding the lock will send a Duress Alarm**
