OBJECTIVES
Ones method to speed-up the degradation of Dayagel
Seismic explosives in shot-hole (after loading) is try tomodify the cap, so salty/brackish water from outer can
entering to the cartridge and damage the explosives.
To know how long time the modified cap will give effect
to the explosives performance in real condition, some
cartridges of Dayagel Seismic with modified cap are
simulated by hydrostatic pressured test in several
months with minimum pressure 3 bar, and detonate its.
The expectation of this method is after 3 - 6 months in
shot-hole (= sleeping time), the explosives can be
damaged by itself or can not detonate by seismic
detonator.

CONCLUSION
• Dayagel Seismic with modified cap, still completely
explode after 12 (twelve) months pressurized.
However, the number of perforated cap increases
and growing larger diameter hole.
• There is no significant results of modifying cap to
speed up degradation or reducing sleeping time of
Dayagel Seismic.
• More attention should be given to the Seismic
Detonator showing a decline in performance
