RAGBRAI® ROUTEANNOUNCEMENT

PARTY JANUARY 21, 2017

RAGBRAI will honor the memory of Chris Charron Tuesday in Downtown Leon who passed away this March. Charron started the RAGBRAI website, “Virtual RAGBRAI” and was the driving force behind the 9-11 Memorial events on RAGBRAI in 2002. A toast to our friend Chris Charron will be held at 8pm at the Freedom Rock in downtown Leon. Free Health Check Screenings will also be conducted on the downtown square in Leon throughout the day in memory of Chris.

RAGBRAI is paying tribute to all the armed service members on our ride. Monday in Creston, the Veterans on the RAGBRAI Crew will hand out these free special caps to the first 1,000 Veterans that are registered RAGBRAI riders and show their wristbands starting at 6:00 pm in downtown Creston near the Historic Depot (in front of the RAGBRAI Information and Merchandise trailer).
