Day 0. Depart YVR for Tel Aviv Day 1. Tel Aviv You will be met our representative and meet your guide, we will begin our pilgrimage to the Holy Land with a visit to ancient Jaffa (Joppawhere Jonah took to ship to meet the whale). Take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town and marvel at the views from the hill top. Enjoy the beautiful harbor of Tel Aviv. Transfer to your hotel in Netanya. Overnight in Netanya. Day 2. Caesarea / Haifa / Megiddo / Mount Tabor / Tiberias After breakfast early drive north along the coast to the archeological site of the port of Caesarea (Acts 10,24-48), built by King Herod in honor of roman Emperor Augustus Caesar. Visit the Roman theater, Herod’s Palace, the Palace of the Ro- man procurator, the amphitheater, the Crusaders city and the harbor. Continue to Haifa, for a sightseeing tour including the Bahai Gardens and Mount Carmel with a panoramic view of the city. Drive to Megiddo - the “Armageddon” of the book of Revelation. After exploring the fascinating archaeological remains of this ancient city drive towards Mount Ta- bor, the site of Transfiguration, visiting the Catholic church. From the rooftop of the church we can enjoy a beautiful view of the lower Galilee and the plain of Jezreel. Continue to Tiberias for overnight. Day 3. See of Galilee and Golan Heights Visit historic Tiberias, then take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee (John 6.1, 6.23), where Jesus walked on the water. The ride will end at Gino- sar, where we shall visit the Ancient Boat from the time of Jesus that was found nearby. Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes, where we shall visit the heptagonal church that was built by the Italian architect Berluzzi. Proceed to Tabgha, where we shall visit the Church of the Loaves and the Fish and the Church of Mensa Christi, where Jesus elected Peter as his Representative on Earth. Driving along the North shores of the Sea of Galilee we shall reach Capernaum, the town where Jesus lived in the house of Peter performing from there his miracles and healings. Time permitting we shall take drive to the Golan heights for a magnificent view of the entire area. Overnight in Tiberias. Day 4. Cana / Nazareth / Jordan river / Jerusalem This morning we travel to Cana to visit the wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine (John 2.1-11). We proceed to Nazareth, to visit the Church of Annunciation, where Mother Mary received good news from Angel Gabriel (Luke 1.26,4.16-29), and Mary’s Well (in the Greek orthodox church). Continue through the Jordan Valley to the town of Beit Shean, one of the ancient Decapolis (Mark 5.20, 7.31), with its re- cently excavated amphitheater and the preserved remains of this beautiful roman city which was partly destroyed in an earthquake. Visit Jeri- cho (John 18:53 and Mark 14, 26-32), the oldest city in the world, and Mt. Temptation, where Jesus was tempted by the devil. Then onwards to Jerusalem, to your hotel for overnight. Day 5. Old City of Jerusalem Jerusalem occupies a unique place in the world. It is holy to Judaism Christianity, and Islam. This day’s tour starts on Mt. Scopus with a panoramic view of the city from east. Then to the Mount of Olives, with great Temple Mount views, and the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt.26.35-56), where the Basilica of the Agony is found. Then head to mount Zion, with the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper (Mark 14.13, Luke 22. 10-38). Return to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. Day 6. Dead Sea & Masada After breakfast drive through the remarkable sometimes eerie wilderness of Judea to the shores of the Dead Sea. Nearly 1.300 feet below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on the earth’s surface. En route we shall pass the site of Qum- ran, caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. We continue to Masada citadel which is situated on the top of an isolated cliff in the Judean desert. The Masada was declared UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. Ascend by cable car to the Masada fortress on which King Herod built a luxurious palace. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the roman camps and the Dead Sea. Bring your swim suit. For a dip to float on the salty, mineral rich water will be possible. Return to Jerusalem for overnight. Day 7. Old City of Jerusalem In the morning head again to the Old City to see and touch the Western Wall (Wailing Wall), the only remnant of the Second Temple. Walk to the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus cured the cripple, then on for a walk the way Jesus carried his cross, the Via Dolorosa, to Calvary and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher (Matt.27.33-57, 28-10), housing both the traditional site of Crucifixion and the tomb of Resurrection. Continue to hotel for dinner. Fascinating evening tour of Western wall tunnels that reveals layers of Jeru- salem’s history. Overnight in Jerusalem. Day 8. New City of Jerusalem & Bethlehem Visit “Yad Vashem” the official memorial commemorating the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. There is no denying that this is an heart-rending but mandatory experience. Then to Ein Karem, a picturesque village has known as the birth- place of John the Baptist (Luke 1.39-80). Here, we may visit the magnificent Chagall Vitrage windows at the super modern Hadassa Medical Complex. Then visit Israel Museum which houses a detailed model of old Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book that contains the Dead Sea scrolls. Ongoing to visit Bethlehem to see Rachel Tomb, Shepherd’s Field and the Church of the Nativity. Overnight in Jerusa lem.

Day 2. Day 9. Arrival in Istanbul After breakfast, transfer to Ben Gurion airport to join our flight to Istanbul. Upon your arrival you will be meet by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Shopping or leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 10. Full day city tour of Istanbul Visit the Topkapi Palace which was the official and primary residence in the city of the Ottoman Sultans for ap-proximately 400 years (1465-1856). The Palace contains the Muslim holy relics of Muhammad’s cloak and sword, and a fabulous display of Ottoman treasure and jewelry, including the fourth largest diamond in the world fea-tured in the famous 1965 film “TopKapi”. From there continue to the unique Blue Mosque, called for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior, known for its six minarets. Then to the Roman Hippodrome Square and the Hagia Sophia, a former Orthodox Christian basilica, later a mosque, and now a museum. Famous for its massive dome, it is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture and served as a model for Many other Ottoman

mosques. We end the four with a visit the world’s famous Grand Bazaar with over 4,000 tiny shops. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 11. Istanbul – half day Bosphorus tour / Flight to Izmir Visit Egyptian Spice Bazaar and Galata Bridge that spans the Golden Horn in Istanbul to take a cruise on the Bosporus which connects the Sea of Marmara to the Black Sea, and divides the city between the two continents of Europe and Asia making Istanbul the only bi-continental city in the world. On the way we shall have the opportunity of photographing marvelous marbles, as ancient wooden villas of Ottoman architecture, fortresses and small fishing villages. On the afternoon drive to Sabiha Gokcen airport to catch the flight to Izmir. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 12. Pergamum / Thyatira / Izmir After breakfast we drive to Pergamum, actually called Bergama. It is one of the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia ( Rev. 1:11; 2:12). Here we explore the impressive Acropolis, featuring the steepest theatre in the world, the Askle-pieion; see the Altar of Zeus which is mentioned as the “Throne of Satan” in the book of Revelation; visit the marble columns of the Temple of Trajan and the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. Its wealth of volumes was estimated at over 200.000. It inspired the invention of parchment. We also visit the Red Basilica (St. John’s Church). Then we continue our visit to Thyatira, now called Akhisor, another one of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev.1:11;2:18-24). It was a city famous for purple dyes. We visit the remains of a basilica and some architectural fragments from the Roman period. Before we check in at the hotel in Izmir, we enjoy a panoramic ride of Smyrna, the third largest city in Turkey and one of the sites of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev.2:12-17). We ascend Mt. Pagus where we visit the citadel of Lysimachos, com-mander of Alexander the Great, an later the Church of St. Policarp. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 13. Izmir / Sardis / Philadephia / Laodicea / Hierapolis Today we depart early in the morning to one of the most picturesque areas of any of the seven Churches of Asia (Rev. 1:11;3:1-4), Sardis presently Sart. This was the capital of the ancient Lydian Kingdom, portrayed as a dying church. We visit the great Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Cybele, which became a Byzantine Church. We will also visit the re-stored Gymnasium and reconstructed Synagogue. Then we continue the journey to Philadelphia, nowadays called Alasehir, another church of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev.1-11;3:7), and the only church not censured. There we see the remains of a Byzantine basilica built of brick, with a bit of high arch and some 11th century frescoes. Lunch en route. We drive to the healing city of Hierapolis, nowadays Pamukkale, the white “cotton fortress” where hot mineral water bursts from the earth and cascades over steep cliffs forming pools, channels and stalactites. In Hierapolis, we visit the Martyrium of the Apostle Philip where he was martyred during the persecutions ordered by Domitian. Proceed to Laodicea (present name Denizli) yet another of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor (Rev. 1:11;3:14). We see the ancient theatre, the remains of basilica and ancient stone water pipes. We visit the Gate of Domitian, the Arcadian way, the 2nd century AD theatre, the Nymphaion, the

Temple of Apollo, the Plutonium and the Necropolis. Dinner and overnight in a thermal hotel in Pamukkale.

Day 14. Ephesus / Kusadasi Drive to Ephesus to visit the ancient city. The Apostle Paul preached to the Ephesians and lived here for three years. This church also received an epistle from him. We tour the spectacular ruins where excavations still continue; walk through history along marble streets lined with wonderful public buildings, among them the Baths of Scholastica, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the Theatre. The Temple of Diana of the Ephesians, one of the seven

wonders of the ancient world, was built here. We visit the Basilica of St. John and the House of Virgin Mary before drive to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 15. Izmir / Istanbul After breakfast transfer to Izmir airport for noon flight to Istanbul. Free afternoon to explore the city. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 16. Return to home Transfer to airport to connect to your international flight and leave Turkey.
