TRANSCRIPT
The most important thing in any battle is to first understand exactly what we are fighting. The Bible is very clear that what we are really fighting is not flesh and blood, but rather the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. As long as we keep fighting flesh and blood —we lose! The Enemy’s strategy is lies and deception. And his best lie is that one degree from the truth. As long as we believe; either, that there is no such thing as the devil, or we keep our eyes fixated on evil in whatever form —we lose! The battle belongs to God, and total victory over Satan was achieved when Jesus Christ died on the cross, and then resurrected on the third day. As believers in Jesus Christ our part is to walk out that victory in our lives every day –one-day- at-a-time.

The major dilemma is that we, knowingly or unknowingly, open our lives to seductive deception, footholds, and ultimately strongholds when we allow by free choice evil ideas, concepts, or decisions into our minds and hearts. When we do this the Enemy has a legal right to come into our lives and wreak havoc. Christians are just as vulnerable as non-Christians to deception; however, Christians have the armory to not only overcome, but take back what has been stolen from the roaring lion. We have the Holy Spirit to teach us and give us courage in the authority we have against the power of the enemy (Mark 16:13). When we take our victory stance in praise and worship, the heavenly realm is opened and the Glory of God comes upon us. We have authority over the powers of evil and we are taking back what has been stolen from us. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are walking together in victory in every area of our lives!
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore,

The first strategy of any battle is to understand who and what we are really fighting. It says we are to put on the to stand against the devils schemes. First of all we are to know who our enemy really is:

Oxford Scholar, and former Atheist: C.S. Lewis wrote, “There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors…”

SO our struggle is NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, but against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm (Ephesians. 6:12).

EVERY DAY WE ARE TO PUT ON THE
Learning to “…take every thought captive to the
obedience of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Beginning to see life through the Christ’s perspective
and no longer our own by developing a personal intimate walk with Him. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace (Romans 8:6).
See challenges that we face throughout the day as an
“opportunity” to witness the glory of God in our life
rather than seeing it as an obstacle that seems
impossible to overcome.

Therefore we can say in complete confidence, “I am
an heir of God and co-heirs with Christ and I AM
WORTHY! I NO longer feel unworthy in any way!“

Example: When Christ was in the desert for 40 days and tempted by Satan three times, he used scripture to overcome the temptation and the evil.

I. Armor Up – A few highlights
a) Learning to walk everyday in victory in every area of our
lives. Realizing victory was ours the moment Christ died
on the cross. (I am an overcomer and I overcome by the
blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony.
Revelation 12:11).
b) Understanding who the enemy really is and what we are
really fighting (…the fight is not with flesh and blood…
Ephesians 6:12).
c) Discovering the power of the Holy Spirit within all true
believers as we move from being self-centered to Christ-
centered (If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the
dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his
Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11).

1. To understand that the fight is not with flesh and blood we move from our natural limited understanding to God’s perspective. This requires TWO KEY concepts: 1. SURRENDER - Surrender of our understanding based on what we know of this
world - be in this world but not of this world (John 17:13-16). In order to do this we MUST get to know Jesus Christ in an intimate personal relationship. That means SPENDING TIME WITH HIM every single day in dialogue, meaning prayer.
2. TRUST – We cannot really trust someone we do not know, nor have an intimate relationship with them in our lives. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3, NKJV)

2. DISCERNMENT: Anything I say to you or anything anyone else tells you is the truth, take it to Christ for discernment, and with the help of the Bible trust Him for an answer. The gift of Discernment is the ability to tell truth from a lie. It is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Remember: Jesus Christ should always be the focus and God always gets the glory. Gift of Discernment:
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world. 2 This is how we know if they have the Spirit of God: If a person claiming to be a prophet[a] acknowledges that Jesus Christ came in a real body, that person has the Spirit of God. 3 But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here. (1 John 4:1-3 NLT)

2. DISCERNMENT:
You shall know them by their love… (God’s Agape -unconditional love) Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7, NIV)
The Bible is our guidepost, but we need the Holy Spirit for revelation of its words. Remember: Satan knows the Bible backwards and forewords. The best lie is that one degree from the truth!
“The Bible without the Holy Spirit, you dry up… The Holy Spirit without the Bible, you puff up… But the Bible being led by the Holy Spirit you grow up!”

3. Power of True Fellowship: TRUE Fellowship of sinners; not a fellowship of saints – Dietrich Bonhoeffer (1906-1945)– ( this is about getting honest)
CONFESSION: which brings light into the darkness; Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:16, NIV)
ACCOUNTABILITY: we are more likely to follow through in what God is putting in your heart to do when we have accountability;
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. (Hebrews 10:24, NIV)

3. Power of True Fellowship: TRUE Fellowship of sinners; not a fellowship of saints –
UNITY: There is incredible strength in numbers.
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, NLT)
