Like the success of the previous events, we had a great response from both the Indian Medical Device Industry as well as the Plastics Disposables Sector. About 50 expert speakers from Industry, Government, Research Institutions, Professionals and Academia shared their rich experience, knowledge and vision with more than 450 delegates from India as well as foreign countries including USA, U.K., Germany, China, The Netherlands etc.

The star attraction of the event was the “Technology Display Show Exhibition 2015” wherein around 30 companies showcased Materials, Adhesives, New Technologies, Manufacturing / Testing Equipments, Packaging / Sterilization Equipments and Services for Medical Devices, Implants & Diagnostics Industry.

While welcoming the Industry delegates and speakers from India and abroad, Mr. D.L. Pandya, the Conference Convener highlighted the need to promote Innovation , enhance Skill Development, protect Intellectual Property and build Best-in-class Manufacturing Infrastructure and further insisted to brain-storm on how to accelerate the process for “Make In India” for the Indian Medical Device Industry.

A half day Biocompatibility (ISO 10993) Training Workshop, a hands-on training course was conducted in concurrence with this event by GLR Laboratories Pvt. Ltd, Chennai, to help participants understand biocompatibility requirements for their medical devices and develop approaches to go about testing their products, for the benefit of medical devices manufacturers.

The event integrated Medical Devices, Plastics and Pharma industries and also hosted a half day conference on, “Safety and Risk Management For Healthcare Professionals” with focus on safe use of Medical Devices. It linked Industry with academic and research organizations. It also integrated products, technology and service providers with the Medical Device Industry.

The organizers got fantastic reward for their strenuous efforts of days, when more than 450 delegates from India and other parts of the world turned the venue of the conference happily overcrowded. The mission of creating the platform for the Indian Medical Device industry and the technology/ product/ service providers

with an objective to facilitate an environment of healthy growth wassuccessfully fulfilled.
