WEB-BASED TOOLS FOR AGRICULTURAL PROFESSIONALS, FARMERS, AND MEDIA

Created the Plant Health Initiative website, www.planthealth.info. This website was developed in 2004 as to

provide science-based, information to Ag professionals, media, and farmers. It focused on solving production

problems in Midwest soybean production. Containing information on 23 soybean diseases, 13 soybean pests,

and a comprehensive library containing publications from Midwest universities, this website recorded 1.18

million unique visitors in 2011.

Created the Iowa Soybean Association Production Research Library,

www.iasoybeans.com/productionresearch in 2008. This website was developed as a resource of science-based

soybean production information for Iowa farmers and Ag professionals. The site contained 101 science-

publications in 2011which originated from the Iowa Soybean Association and Iowa State University. The

website recorded 32,709 downloads in 2011 from 395,545 global users.
