My Interests…• Distributed Networking and Computing• Robotics• Data Acquisition• Control Theory, including DSP• Simulation Modeling• GPS• Graphical Programming• Robotic Vision Systems• Robotic Drive-Train Systems• Astronomy

My Activities…• Research “Assistant” at SIUC, in distributed power monitoring

networks, data acquisition, and robotics.• Lead Technical Advisor to FRC Robotics Team #2219 at Brehm

Preparatory School.• Vice-Chair of SIUC-IEEE.• Oversee Minority Engineering Summer Camps at SIUC.• Engineering Student Council Liaison to EE,ECE, and CE dept’s.• Technical presenter at SIUC-IEEE, topics including robotics, PID

control algorithms, spacecraft propulsion.• Have participated in many robotic competitions, using PIC μ-

controller’s and FPGA’s.• SEDS (Students for the Exploration and Development of Space)

Liaison to SIUC-IEEE

Current Projects

• Autonomous Car with GPS waypoint navigation using an 8-processor μ-controller.

• Autonomous Helicopter with GPS waypoint navigation and graphical interface.

• Power Monitoring system using a distributed wireless network (ZigBee).

• Creating a Robotics Club at SIUC.

What I want from IBM

• A good experience

• Practical knowledge of the systems IBM support, their features, their inherent limitations, and how to produce better systems in the future.

• Develop skills to rapidly learn new technical systems and their application.
