David Gauntlett: Making is ConnectingOUR CREATIVE PROCESS SO FAR USING LEGO

Page 2: David Gauntlett Lego

OVERVIEW

Areas of blackness: our blank thoughts at the beginning of our production –

no creativity

Greenery: The ‘Germination’ process – culmination of ideas

‘feeding’ into each other – food for

thought.

3 paths – the different directions our production could take. The

yellow path represents the chosen direction.

Bridge – the journey our coursework embarked upon.

Issues being overcome.

Windows of opportunity.

The finished product: a

built up mix of all of our

ideas.

Pirate: other classmates using our

ideas.

Areas of grey: problems

interrupting our creative flow.

Water: flow of creativity.

Filter: only the good ideas go

forward.

This is a shot from the perspective of us at the start of our journey.

POINT OF VIEW

The headless man running in the opposite direction represents everyone at the start “running around like headless chickens” with no immediate thoughts or

ideas.

This represents a hurdle where our

thoughts and ideas get strained, and only the best

get through.

The sun chair and umbrella

represent a chilled out approach to the project. If we

stayed like this we would have stayed in the “black zone” where we would

not have accomplished our

goals.

PIRATES AHOY!!

This represents “Pirates” who try and copy ideas from our work. The pirates being our

classmates and other members of the community associated to us through our

blogs. The use of the blog allows us to document our work easily and helps aid our creativity

However there is the problem of the blogs being public, as

some of our ideas can be took and used, therefore

undermining the credibility of our own creativity.

This is an obstacle that is crucial to overcome to make

sure our work stands out.

EXTRANEOUS PROBLEMS

This represents our Media

teacher, wrestling off some problems

we came across along the way to

planning our production, such

as making sure we have a plot that is

believable.

We have placed her near the start of our journey, as we find she can help us with our production to a certain extent, but then we have to take control ourselves. By using our own knowledge we can learn,

grow, and stay on the path the success.

TIME MANAGEMENT: PLOT IDEAS: PLOT BELIEVABILITY: EMOTIONS: PLOT THEMES: RESEARCH INTO AUDIENCEPRODUCT RESEARCH: LOOKING AT DIFFERENT EXISTING FILMS: IMPROVING ON PREVIOUS YEAR: TEAM WORK.

“The Journey To Success”

The throne represents the

accomplishment we fill feel after our hard work.

It shows the final product we

will have worked to achieve.

The high building shows how we have

built upon our experiences, and collaborated to

make a final product.

We will have created a sturdy

piece of work, built upon all our

creativity and will have a trailer to show for all our

hard work.

Windows for opportunity: these are

paths we could take along the way to

include new inventive ideas, instead of just sticking to one path.

These fences represent obstacles the group have

came across along the way, such as time

management and last minute plot changes we

have had to overcome to continue the journey.
