David’s Journey Through Time…

… The Way I Remember It

Page 2: David And Amy

Let’s start at the beginning…

Page 3: David And Amy

There once was a young man named Earl…

Page 4: David And Amy

One day, Earl went shopping. He needed a couple of shirts, socks, and some pants. He found all of them at a particular store where there was a particular fine lady working behind the counter… He asked her “Would you measure my inseam?”

Left leg or right leg?

Page 5: David And Amy

Learning his pant size was 32x30, they quickly got married…

Page 6: David And Amy

Bev was born shortly thereafter. Mom and Dad didn’t have a lot of money, so they had to keep her in a drawer…

Page 7: David And Amy

Three years later, after a painting accident, I was born…

Page 8: David And Amy

Bev and I had such a blast being our parents’ kids…

I’m so happy!

No, I’m so happy!

No, I’m so happy!

No, I’m so happy!

Shut Up!

No You Shut Up!

Help!

While vacationing in Florida, Mom and Dad broke the news. Mom was pregnant. Bev was so excited. She always wanted a little brother. I… wasn’t too pleased…

I am not too pleased

Baby Brother

Page 10: David And Amy

David is about a month old here, and I was still having a hard time adjusting

I am having a hard time

adjusting

Page 11: David And Amy

After Dad yelled at me “YOU WILL LIKE YOUR LITTLE BROTHER”, I decided “OK”.I mean, it could be worse…

This could be worse

I like him

Page 12: David And Amy

…Mom kept him pretty clean…

Page 13: David And Amy

…He liked picnics… This was all going pretty well!

I think I like him

Page 14: David And Amy

…But I soon realized, I couldn’t go anywhere without this kid following me…

Stop following me!

Page 15: David And Amy

I couldn’t even get a hug from my Mom without him needing one too!

Page 16: David And Amy

I soon discovered the following equationD∆Me=H x ∏

Height

Probability of getting away from David

Page 17: David And Amy

So the only way I could get away from this kid was to go up…

Alone at last!

Page 18: David And Amy

Bev and I decided, once David was potty trained, we would make a concerted effort to try to like him

Look ma, No Hands!

Page 19: David And Amy

Actually, he was turning into a pretty cute kid, and he had a huge variety of interests:

Page 20: David And Amy

He liked music…

Page 21: David And Amy

… loved boats…

Page 22: David And Amy

…He always had a loving paternal instinct…

I think I will have a July wedding so I can tell my family

at Hanukah my future wife and I

are pregerrs

Page 23: David And Amy

When the recession hit in the ‘80s, David really took it hard…

Page 24: David And Amy

He became reclusive

Page 25: David And Amy

David started coming home from hebrew school drunk

Page 26: David And Amy

We constantly found him passed out in his bed

Page 27: David And Amy

And quite honestly, in junior high, he started experimenting in drugs

“ Far Out Dude”

Page 28: David And Amy

He started hanging out with some weird friends…

Page 29: David And Amy

And David turned violent

Page 30: David And Amy

Mom was stunned by his behavior

I am stunned

Page 31: David And Amy

Dad and I decided, if he wasn’t going to shape up, we were going to take matters in our own hands

Look how tough we are

Page 32: David And Amy

But soon, David started reading the Torah, and his life turned around

Page 33: David And Amy

He started doing his homework again

Page 34: David And Amy

He started dating girls

Page 35: David And Amy

He joined the band

Page 36: David And Amy

And he started traveling

Page 37: David And Amy

And, yes, he finally graduated from high school

Page 38: David And Amy

Once David left for college, Mom and Dad didn’t know anything to do other than dance!

Alone at last!

Page 39: David And Amy

Now, we knew at a very young age David wanted to be on television

Page 40: David And Amy

Unfortunately, he was always stuck behind the camera

Do I have a face for radio?

Page 41: David And Amy

So after graduating college, David went to Houma, La to become a disk jockey playing “Oldies But Goodies”

Page 42: David And Amy

Mom could often be found listening to his doo wap shows

Page 43: David And Amy

But David could always be seen praying for a better radio career in sports

Dear Lord, get me a job doing play

by play for a winning football

team

Page 44: David And Amy

His prayers were finally answered

Page 45: David And Amy

David became the voice of the Nicholls State Colonels

Page 46: David And Amy

Here is a picture of Bev and Dad after David called to say Nicholls would be “really good this year!”

Page 47: David And Amy

Mom loved sitti ng beside David while he did his play by play. But she could never understand why she could never hear him?

These go around my ears? I just don’t get

technology!

Page 49: David And Amy

This is my favorite picture of David. He is handsome, has caring eyes, is proud, and intelligent.

But best of all, He is my brother…

Page 50: David And Amy

Well they built the Titanic to be one of a kind, but many ships have ruled the seas. They built the Eiffel Tower to stand alone, but they could build another if they please. Taj Mahal, the pyramids of Egypt, are unique I suppose, but when they built you, brother, they broke the mold.

Now the world is filled with many wonders under the passing Sun, and sometimes something comes along and you know it's for sure the only one. The Mona Lisa, the David, the Sistine Chapel, Jesus, Mary, and Joe. And when they built you, brother, they broke the mold

When they built you, brother, they turned dust into goldWhen they built you, brother, they broke the mold
