Planning Your Big Day

For most people organising a party for 50,100 or even 200 people is something theynever do – except for a Wedding! That’swhere the Davenport Park Hotel comes in.Weddings are our speciality and with over30 years of experience, our family of expertsare on hand to help in the planning andenjoyment of your perfect Wedding day,advising on all the options available andmost importantly at this expensive time, thelikely cost involved.

We realise how special this day is to youand to help in the initial planning stages ofyour day we have produced this guide tohelp suit every taste and budget.

One of the most important things to establish at the outset is the number ofguests you will be expecting. With this rough guide in mind you can thenview and choose from one of our individual suites for your reception party.

Our Function Suites

Saddlers Restaurant

For more intimate receptions our cosy Restaurantoffers superb Carvery dining for up to 40 guests.

The Corbar Suite

The largest of our suites. The airy feel ofthe Corbar Suite is ideal for larger partiesand evening functions of up to 200guests. Can also be combined withSaddlers Restaurant to cater for up to250 guests.

The Tudor Manor Suite

With its charming ‘Olde Worlde’atmosphere the Tudor Manor Suite isideal for parties of up to 170 guests.

All our suites offer a private bar with late license until 1.00am.

Civil Wedding Services

We are able to offer the option of holding your Civil Wedding Ceremony atthe Davenport Park Hotel. Our charge for this service is £180.00.Additional charges will be made by the official Registrar.For more information on legalities and procedures involved with a CivilWedding please enquire with our team.

Booking Your Wedding

Once the choice of Suite and type of Ceremony is made, booking couldn’tbe easier. Just confirm your date with by paying a deposit of £200* andstart planning.

Once your booking is confirmed the services of one of our highlyexperienced managers are available at all times to provide advice andguidance and to answer any questions you may have.

*Please note that in the unfortunate event of a cancellation your deposit isonly refundable if the suite is re-booked for an alternative party.

Choosing Your Catering

Want everything done for you?

We offer a fully inclusive Wedding Package for your afternoon receptionwhich includes everything you need for a traditional Wedding Breakfast.

Want to be individual?

No problem! Our Banqueting, Buffet and Wine menus are availableseparately and we are happy to work with you in choosing the rightcombination to ensure you get the Wedding reception of your dreams!

The Table Plan

The layout and seating is individual for every Wedding, and the best tablelayout for your Reception will depend on the number of guests attending.

Round tables are popular, giving a less formal impression and allowingpartners or families to sit together. Longer tables are more formalalthough allow for more flexibility in numbers.

When devising a seating plan it may be beneficial to group together guestswho know each other or who have the same interests or age group.

The Toasts & Speeches

There are traditionally two toasts. The first is the privilege of the BridesFather who, after an introduction by the Best Man, is the first to make hisspeech and his toast to “The Bride and Groom”

The Bridegroom then responds on behalf of himself and his Bride, makinghis speech and adding his own toast to “The Bridesmaids”

The Best Man then responds on behalf of the Bridesmaids and makes hisown speech. It is then his duty to read out selected messages ofcongratulation – usually from those unable to attend.

Wedding Extras

Once you have chosen your catering and drinks it’s time to turn yourattention to entertainment.

Do you want to supply your own entertainment or have it provided for you?Do you want a Disco or live music?

Here at the Davenport Park Hotel we are happy to accommodate your ownentertainment – free of charge – while the services of our ProfessionalDJ’s can be arranged through the Hotel at a charge of £170.00 (subject tochange, please enquire at time of booking)

Contacts are also available for additional services such as Flowers,Balloons, Wedding Favours, Room Dressing, Chair Covers and a ToastMaster.

Chocolate Fountain Hire

Our 18” Chocolate Fountain * is available for hire as a fun addition to yourevening buffet. Your guests will be delighted to sample the moltenchocolate smothered over their choice of delicious dipping foods.

Hire Charges: £55 plus £1 per guest

* Please note that our Chocolate Fountain is not aslarge as commercially hired models.These can be hired separately at additional cost ifdesired.

The Wedding Breakfast, after the Marriage Ceremony is an important partor everyone’s special day. Particularly for Parents, Relatives and Friendswhose presence contributes to the celebrations.

To cater for your Wedding Breakfast we can provide an inclusive packagedetailed below, or you may choose from our extensive Buffet, Banquetingand Wine menus to cater to your individual taste and budget.
