NCACB President’s Message:Welcome fellow cattlemen, ranchers and breeders. I can’t say

enough about how thrilled the members of this club and I are to be partof the 25th anniversary of the North Central Alberta Charolais BreedersClub. On behalf of the consignors, I would like to take this opportunityto thank the founding breeders who had the perseverance to start upthis organization and support it.

I feel that we have an excellent variety of bulls for every need. Thepresent four members have invested much time and resources into theirherds in order to bring you their best. Whether you are in the marketfor yearlings or 2 year olds, red or whites, we have the bulls that willwork for you.

TERMS & CONDITIONSTERMS... The terms of this sale are cash or cheque payable atpar at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass untilafter settlement is made. All settlements must be made with theclerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.

ANNOUNCEMENTS... All announcements from the auctionblock will take precedence over the printed matter in the cata-logue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to suchannouncements.

BIDS... Every animal consigned to this sale must be sold by auc-tion. No private sales will be allowed except otherwise provided forin the terms and conditions. No buy-bidding will be permitted.Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Mail or wire bidsmay be furnished in the confidential form to the sale consultant,auctioneer or ringman. Bids must be received in sufficient timeprior to the sale.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE... Bulls: Should any bull fourteen(14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being usedon cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported to theseller within six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14)months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege ofsix (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is giventhat semen collected from the bull will freeze. The seller is notresponsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animalhas been sold nor for sickness not apparent at sale time.

EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE... In cases where the animal issubject to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques afterthe sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

SETTLEMENT... Transportation charges on animals returned tothe seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expens-es such as feed, signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc. willbe charged by any party by making settlement. If the seller is suc-cessful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, then saidanimal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Shouldsatisfactory replacement, FOB ranch or location of origin or arefund of the actual purchase price paid FOB, selling point. In noevent shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchaseprice paid. Should a dispute arise of the quality of a replacementanimal, the executive committee will act as mediators.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY... The proper registration papers,as the case may be, will be dually transferred and furnished to thebuyer for each animal after settlement has been made.

PURCHASER’S RISK... Each animal becomes the risk of thepurchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the pur-chasers risk for a reasonable amount of time.

DELIVERY... Every effort shall be made to assist buyers inarranging transportation.

ACCIDENTS... Although every precaution will be taken to protectthe safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sales consultant,auctioneer, or breeders group assumes any responsibility in thismatter and disclaims any responsibility, legal or otherwise, in theevent of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS & OBLIGATIONS... The above mentioned terms andconditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between thebuyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of theanimals following purchase of this sale shall constitute a separatetransaction and the rights and obligations by the terms and condi-tions of this sale.

AGENT ONLY... The North Central Alberta Charolais Breeders isonly acting as a medium between the buyer and the seller and isnot responsible in any way for any failure on the part of eitherparty to live up to his obligation, neither does the North CentralAlberta Charolais Breeders assume any financial obligations tocollect or enforce collection of any monies between parties andany legal action that may, in exceptional cases, be taken must bebetween the buyer and seller.

SALES GUARANTEE... All cattle will be sold under the CanadianCharolais Association code of ethics.
