UPDATE: WE’VE MOVED FROM MELBOURNE TO THE GOLD COAST!

“The Globe is your mission field, I’m sending you into the harvest” - These are thewords that both Melinda and I felt were God’s marching orders for us to relocate

from our ‘home town’ to a new state and new city. The Gold Coast is one of the

most popular holiday and tourist destinations, yet, once you scratch the thin

veneer of the golden beaches and pumping night life, we find a city and a

people in great need of connection to the God who loves them. Poverty, high

drug usage and crime, family breakdown, refugees and ‘urban culture’ are

among over 90% of Australians that don’t have an active faith in Jesus Christ. It’s

here, with partnerships with ‘people of peace’ that we believe God will raise up a

harvest of souls, a great crowd of disciples who, as first generation followers of

Jesus will seek to obey the great commandment and the great commission asdisciples who will make disciples. - Please pray with us to have wisdom, boldness,

innovation and empathy for the people that Jesus will connect us with.

making disciples -

starting where you are!2016 is here! As I consider what it means to live life

on mission, following Jesus and reaching the world

with the Gospel, it also occurred to me afresh that

making disciples who make disciples starts at home!

My son DJ who’s 12, made the decision to get up at

5:30am each morning so that we can study the

teachings of Jesus together. This has been amazing

as he tells me how Jesus has opened his heart to

truth, how he can apply that in his life and who he can share this truth with. Being able to study and pray

together not only builds our relationship stronger but also builds spiritual muscle in both of us. I am trulythankful that ‘starting where you are’ can have a generational effect of discipleship that sees our kids

released to fulfil the great commission.

We all know Jesus’ command to ‘GO to ALL

nations, TEACHING them everything I have

COMMANDED”. We know it’s power and it’s

promise - Jesus says that as we go, his power goes

with us. He also told us in John 14 that “those who

know and KEEP his commandments, they are theones that love him…” As part of the 1 Body Global Team I have the privilege to not only tell Jesus’ story but

capture the power of God’s story as lives, communities and nations are transformed. In February I will have

the opportunity to go to Cambodia and Thailand to capture the story of lives liberated and communities

being transformed through the power of Jesus. These stories help us to ‘put the work of Jesus on display’,

it helps us to see how each one of us can be involved in seeing God’s kingdom come. We are seeing

incredible stories of healing, both physically and mentally, stories of new disciples continuing in obedience

even though they are rejected for their faith and often their lives threatened. We see the living stories

unfold as whole families encounter and embrace the love of Christ - The power of Jesus to transform lives is

happening on a global scale as we see a missional multiplication movement begin to push beyond the

darkness. As I go on this next mission adventure would you consider partnering with me. I still have some

important video equipment to purchase together with some travel costs. To get the best of this opportunity

I need to purchase a focus peaking monitor, extra batteries, CF cards etc - The all up cost for equipments is

$1500 and travel expenses of $1900. Thank you for co-laboring with me.
