6-month placement in a level-1 trauma center. Involved the assessment and management of many conditions in the ED and resus room setting day and night. Provided extensive experience in trauma management and a wide range of procedures from fracture & dislocation management to NIV and trauma assessment.

2015 INTENSIVE CARE SHO – TASTER DH A good learning experience involving complex airway management, organ support and use of intensive monitoring.

2014-15 NEUROSURGICAL SHO (WITH ORTHOPEDIC COVER) DH 4-month placement involving ward work, theatre time and nights. Provided experience in a number of procedures in both Neurosurgery and orthopedics.

2014 MAXILLOFACIAL & ORAL SURGERY SHO DH 4 months, involved assessment & management of facial trauma and dental pathology. Provided extensive experience in wound closure, fracture management and other practical procedures. Based largely in the emergency department taking referrals and a lot of theatre and clinic hours.
