Julie-Ann works hard to provide our children with a safe area to cross the road morning and afternoon. In order to assist her in doing this we ask that you follow these simple rules: DO NOT cross the road on your own while Julie-Anne is on duty Wait behind the yellow line as Julie-Anne walks into the middle of the road DO NOT cross the road until Julie-Anne has stopped in the middle of the road and signals that it is safe to walk PLEASE hold your child/children’s hand when crossing the road if they are under 10 years WALK across the road (do not run) Please give your full attention to crossing the road - it is not a time to be on your phone. Showcase It is wonderful that we have been able to add an additional show to our Showcase this week - We look forward to sharing the wonderful talents of your children with you. Please remember that not all of our children like to be photographed so if you are taking photos try to ensure your child is the main subject and please do not upload any group photo onto social media (e.g. facebook or instagram)

SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE

We would like to invite our parents, caregivers and friends of Wyoming

Public School to this year’s Showcase, Where your child is

the star of our Show!

Due to the overwhelming interest from the parents this year, the students of Wyoming Public School will be participating in two Showcase events. Our first showcase will be on Wednesday 20 September 2017 at 9:30am and our second showcase will be on Thursday 21 September 2017 at 11.30am in the school hall. The students have worked incredibly hard on their showcase performance and hope that you can come along on either day to support them. Due to limited space in the hall and numbers we do request that you please attend only one performance. We look forward to seeing you at our 2017 Showcase. SOCCER 5S CHAMPIONSHIPS On Wednesday 16 August we travelled to the Tuggerah Soccer 5s complex to compete for the Mariner’s Shield. Clarissa, Katie, Shanaya, Jade, Alaysha, Faith, Tahlia, Lyndal and Elizabeth made up the girls’ team captained by Amelia. Jackson was captain of the boys team comprising Ashton, Jamie, Mio, Kai, Liam, Coby, Kodi and Zayden. Each of our teams played in three games and a final. It was wonderful to see the students’ enthusiasm and effort in each of their games. Although not able to claim the shield on the day, the students displayed great sportsmanship, courage and teamwork. Some of our girls played their very first competitive soccer games that day. The boys were in fine form and presented a strong challenge for their opponents. Both teams also participated in a fun skills session run by Mariners players. I’d like to extend a big thankyou to the parents who supported our players by assisting with transport. We couldn’t have got there without you, literally! Thank you as well to the parents who came to encourage our students. My biggest thanks goes to all the players who displayed outstanding behaviour and gave their best to

As each class award is used towards a Principal’s Award it is marked on the back. This means that a class award can only be used once towards a Principal’s Award.
