What is Global Warming?• Global Warming is the continuing rise in temperature of

Earth's climate system. Video.

• Facts:

1.We’re are living in a Global Warming Time.2.Most of the hottest years have occurred in the last decades.3.Most scientists believe that it is going to get warmer in years

to come.4.Many climate scientists say that the 21st century might see

temperatures rise of about 3 to 8 degrees.

What’s making temperature rise?• The mayor cause of Global Warming is the emission of

greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide into the atmosphere.

• What’s the Greenhouse Effect?

• It is when temperature rises because sun’s heat and light is trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere.

• This is like when heat is trapped in a car.

Consequences of Global Warming• Many species will die off or become extinct due to the

increase in the temperatures.

• The most disturbing changes are expected in the coral reefs that are expected to die off.

• Cause irreversible changes in the ecosystem and the behavior of animals.

• Due to the melting of Polar Ice Caps, flood coastline will happen.

• The rise in Earth’s temperature can cause floods, famine, heat waves, tornados and twisters.
