Please bring the completed form with you. If you do not have this required form, you will need to obtain one at your own expense prior to beginning class. Broad Creek Scout Reservation will not provide offsite transportation so please come Prepared. Plan to arrive on time between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (local time) on Saturday June 4, 2016 unless noted below. Departure will be after breakfast on Friday, June 10, 2016. All participants who are enrolled in any retraining sections will be able to depart after Noon on June 7, 2016. Complete, correct BSA uniforms are required. The BSA Field Uniform (Scout shorts or long trousers, Scout shirts, Scout socks) or the BSA Activity Uniform (Scout shorts or pants with Scouting golf or t-shirts) will be worn at camping school. Complete field uniform is required for evening meals, worship services, campfires, and other formal activities. At all other times, the activity uniform is required. Broad Creek Scout Reservation will not provide offsite transportation so please come Prepared.

Plan to arrive on time between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. (local time) on Saturday June 4, 2016 unless noted below. Departure will be after breakfast on Friday, June 10, 2016. All participants who are enrolled in any retraining sections will be able to depart after Noon on June 7, 2016.

General - What do I bring?

First and foremost, we hope that you come with a positive attitude coupled with a desire to learn and share. Together with your expert instructors, we anticipate that you will embark upon an adventure of learning directed towards preparing you to assume the call of Scouting in your field, while fostering friendships and associations that will continue long after you depart.

You will be housed in bunkhouse style cabins or tents – you will need to provide your own bedding and towels. Please Be Prepared to provide your own toiletries and personal items.

Uniform Inspection Sheet

Scout LeaderUniform Inspection.Conduct the uniform inspection with common sense; the basic rule is neatness.

Attendance. Presence at inspection merits 15 points. Notes

Headgear. Headgear is optional. Boy Scout leaders wear the olive visor cap, campaign hat, or troop-approved headgear. Varsity Scout leaders wear the blaze visor cap. Cub Scout pack leaders wear the olive visor cap. Den leaders wear the same visored cap as the youth they serve.

Notes

Shirt/Blouse and Neckwear. New long or short sleeves, or official long or short sleeves with appropriate loops on epaulets. Neckwear is optional but must be worn according to specifications in the Insignia Guide.

Male Cub Scout and Boy Scout leaders wear the long- or short-sleeve uniform or official shirt. Female Cub Scout leaders wear either the official long- or short-sleeve yellow blouse, official long- or short-sleeve shirt, or the official long- or short-sleeve uniform blouse. Shoulder Epaulets Scouters wear the color shoulder loop of the program in which they are serving: blue, Cub Scouting; green, Boy Scouting; blaze (orange), Varsity Scouting; green, Venturing; silver, council and district; gold, regional and national.
